If you're a fan of football, if you watched the USFL games, if you're, you know, if you're up watching Asac games, you know, on Thursdays, you know, cowboys are entertaining. The games are fun, NFL is not. The NFL didn't go away. There's man. As much as I hate some of these other teams, some of these other games are just. He watched the Eagles game the other day.

And like the first two seasons of Romo where we would go into games Literally go into games every single game, having no idea if we would win that game or not.

We were favored in a bunch of games. But in the beginning of Romo's career, we had no idea we were going to win those games or not. And then these are then pre Romo.

I laid awake last night and I was sitting here thinking, I can't believe how crazy parallel being a cowboy fan this year and being, you know, voting for Kamala, too. And I mean that it was such a parallel to me that like, you know, in the beginning of the year, in the offseason, I was well pumped and fucking nobody could tell me that we weren't going to, you know, at least win 11 games. People were saying ten games. And I was like, are you kidding me? Look at the schedule. You know, I'm looking at this and I'm trying to, you know, we're comparing things. And I mean, that's the same thing that we had. But the last couple nights before for the election, right? I mean, we're like feeling like having.

Like when that end of that game when Dak got hurt and Cooper Rush went in and my whole body, just my whole feeling was just like oh a season's over inflated.

Eddie 00:07:20 And and it was all it was just like what I woke up to this morning. Right. And you look at all of what happened and you're like, oh my gosh, now I need to live through this.

Prescott 00:09:51 So. So today the news dropped that it's going to be more than four games for that. He he tore his hamstring. It's a what's called the avulsion. Where they did they drop.

Prescott 00:10:02 It. Yeah it just dropped probably about an hour or two ago. We're recording this on Wednesday. And so you know since since Sunday we all knew he he hurt his hamstring. So, so he's going to be out for weeks. But it turned out he tore the hamstring off the bone that that type of hamstring tear. So it's going to be more than four games. It might be like six games minimum before he can come back.
Eddie 00:10:22 So so you know what's crazy is I had that injury before and it wasn't football related. All right. man in in Arizona everybody has tile inside their home, right? Instead of like carpet, hardwood or tile or whatever.
Eddie 00:10:36 And I was getting dinner. We just had puppies. We had a puppy gate up. And I stepped over the puppy gate and stepped right into the water and slipped and did the splits.

Eddie 00:10:47 The axle splits, the front splits, and then it Later, pop popped right up and I go, oh, something's wrong. I didn't feel right. I thought my leg broke, bro. My kids were like, looking at me like, are you okay? Just die. Dude. I tore my hamstring. The muscle off the bone. My back, the back of my leg was dark purple. Like, oh.

Eddie 00:11:10 For four weeks, I couldn't even drive, bro. I couldn't straighten my leg out. It was crazy. That's gone. I mean, if he really heard it that bad.
Prescott 00:11:19 Yeah. They said like, it's going to be at least six games. Like at least six games. It's gonna be out. It's crazy.

Prescott 00:11:56 One of those things where you can't you can't hurt it anymore. So it's like how much pain you can stand. You can play. So he'll definitely play because he came in a game when it was done and over with. They were like, why are you in the game? Get him out. But it's one of those things where you can't you can't hurt anymore.
Eddie 00:12:10 So wasn't that a weird feeling though? It's almost like, you know, KD was getting hurt.
Eddie 00:12:14 He's hurt, he's hurt. He's he's doing his KD thing on the sideline. Right. And then we start coming back and then see he's like I'm not involved in this I need to get in this. Like at that. It was almost like that feeling like I'm still hurt. But you guys aren't going to come back without me. So I'm coming back in and I'm like, bro, we had we had momentum going and now I don't know.
Prescott 00:12:36 Yeah, now you'll come in and mess it up anyway, but we'll see how it goes. Yeah. I mean that was that was a disappointing game to watch only because, their guy got hurt and they still were doing stuff against us, and sand and it still look like we had a chance to win. But of course, deep in my heart I'm like, yeah, we're not going to win this game, I will. I was all right with that.
Eddie 00:12:56 We were competitive personally. It was a lot more competitive than I knew it was going to be closer ish.
Eddie 00:13:03 But like, we were there. I can't say we're only down. We're down like 13 for in the half or whatever, but.
Prescott 00:13:11 I'm at a point where I'm okay if we lose every game for the rest of the season and get a top five pick.
Eddie 00:13:16 Well, a lot of.

Prescott 00:13:19 But as long as we play competitive, I'm all right. We're losing. Like, I don't want them going out there listless and then playing like, terrible. Like, you can tell they're not interested in this game. Like, I still want you to play competitive. And if we lose with rush the rest of the way, I'm cool with that. We throw Lance out, you know, put out, put that on the shelf for the rest of the season and, and let, rush play a few games. And then if we like, we lose like, say plays 3 to 4 games when we lose, then definitely put Russia in for the rest of the season.
Prescott 00:13:51 Like from game ten, like from game 11 to 17. Let let Lance have the rest of it and go like that. But I'm okay with that if they do that. But if they decide to play and still like, hey, we're trying to win games, I'm okay with that too. So I'm okay with either one.
Eddie 00:14:09 I, I think like as a fan, like as a cowboy fan, you always want to see them compete, you know, like to see anybody lose it doesn't matter. I've always hated tanking and the, the aspect of of thinking that somebody out there isn't playing as hard as they can. Yeah. Just because, like the tank, like I thought that was, if you're a competitor that doesn't even get brought up in your mind. Right.
Prescott 00:14:36 That's why I say if they lose competitively, I can live with that. But like it was in 2015 when when when Romo got hurt and they kept losing and losing, they were actually trying to win those games. They just lost them because they just weren't as good.

Eddie 00:14:57 Yeah basketball and football a little bit different when it comes to that basketball is that you can take like you can take it's pretty intense.
Prescott 00:15:05 Like they went into games like, hey, we're gonna try our best to lose this game. And now it was just obvious. It was terrible.
Eddie 00:15:12 What's what's bad about football is that, your career is so short and, like, you don't want to give away those games, and some of these guys will matter more. Some of these guys will never play football ever again. Yeah. After the season. Yeah. This could be this could be your last year of your career ever. So it's like my my opinion on this I know, I know, I like to push my opinion on it a lot. But my opinion on I think that we should start Cooper, rush this game. Let Lance get his legs under him and then put Lance in.
Eddie 00:15:53 You know, either the next game or the following game so that he we can showcase his talent because we either are going to resign him for our backup quarterback.

Eddie 00:16:07 Or why don't we, if we showcase Tim and in a QB needed team is willing to give us a, you know, a third for him in the off season. Yeah. Why not I mean, I think they might have to do that before because we're we didn't resign him. Did we see a free agent?

Eddie 00:16:29 If we have him for another year, that's a no brainer. We have to showcase him and say, hey, look at that. This is a Troy. I mean, this is a Trey Lance commercial and Trey Lance Nike commercial featuring the Dallas Cowboys. And you know, this is the longest Nike commercial So I mean, if instead of trotting Cooper rush out there every week and us being the, you know, the the Carolina Panthers in Arlington.

Prescott 00:17:01 Crazy. But that's how spoiled we are. We haven't had this scenario since 2015. That's almost ten years ago to where we weren't planning games that we felt, oh man, we can win this game. We can win this game. Like it was hardly any game. I would go into thinking we don't have a shot to win this game. And did you watch.

Eddie 00:17:39 Times. He's ready. He can go in there. And he we didn't lose too much with him. He's very accurate. He can't move at all. Dach doesn't move anymore. He doesn't move. he gets the ball out quick.

Eddie 00:17:59 He he wasn't focusing on one receiver. He was he was getting the ball out around people. It's just that he just doesn't have that umph. Like we got a game plan for this guy right? So he doesn't.

I wish, I wish that we weren't playing Philly this week. I wish we were playing Philly next like the next week. So we gave a little bit of time. I think he would.

We need a 17 yard pass like I if I know that's coming I have a 7% like where I'm thinking, oh yeah, rush is going to get this this 15 yards on third and 15. It's like 7% expectancy rate as opposed Dak. Like you know if Dax in the huddle you think oh yeah we have like a 47% chance of getting this first down on third and 15 rushes, like down to seven. Lance is more like in the 20% range because, you know, if it breaks down, he can actually run and Mike can get that. So it's like but.

And I think that that was at that point. And then and then God from up above, I don't know what he did do was knuckle, but he yeah, he flicked him on the back of his hamstring and said, son, you need to sit down for a second and.
