Eddie 00:01:26 It was just like with the capitalize. It was just like with the Eagles, we we were playing with the Eagles. We were playing with with the Texans like we were. It was a game for a while. It was. And we have we're already we're down to like third team on some of these positions. Oh my god how the hell are we playing with these teams these injuries.

Eddie 00:01:48 Like it's just this happens. It's like one play right? It's that it was the it was Russia's fumble and then got and picked it up like he's like, I'm gonna take this to the house. I'm gonna just get down.

I see some good stuff out of people. It's some some players. I'm like, man, he's going to be really good for whoever coaches this next year.

But I really think that the Cowboys offensive line, we have talent on the offensive line. We need good coaching because right now our offensive line coaching is absolutely terrible. And it's not a I don't know, I guess.

Eddie 00:08:53 Well, it hurt us, I think was Dan Quinn has a specific type of of defensive backs that he likes. And they can play safety or corner. Right. It's a camera and bell I mean he has Bell. So like Mook. Mook can play corner. He can play outside inside. He plays safety but he's not. He's a jack of all trades. But he's not as good at what he does. You know what I mean? What I'm saying. Yeah. So like he he liked that mold of a corner. And right now we're stuck with a, you know, 2 or 3 of them. And we tried to trade one of them away and we got somebody back and he got hurt.
Eddie 00:09:33 So he's on the air. It's we're our cornerbacks are are hurt. Diggs can't cover a I mean, he can't cover anybody. It's tough.
Prescott 00:09:46 Like I told people coming back from that injury is tough. Like he should be a lot better next year. But this year he's just been like compared to the Diggs. We know All-Pro Diggs. He's like, he would be the second or third cornerback on most teams. But of course we're counting on him to be number one. So he's just playing average right now. You'll see the flashes on him when he decides oh, he sees the play knows the play makes a break. He was like, oh that's the Diggs I know.
Eddie 00:10:14 It's like his rookie year right? His rookie year he was showing flashes and we were like, whoa. But then he couldn't cover anybody going across the field or anything like that. And that's exactly what we're seeing. And I think that's we're going to see with bland when he comes back, is that it's going to be a little bit iffy and he's going to be on 1.5ft.
Eddie 00:10:33 Yeah. So he's not going to be the bland of old. But it's going to take a little bit of time next year I think we're going to have two good corners. We're going to have Carson with a year under his belt. we're gonna have whoever we draft, we're going to have Butler. We're going to have a Dunaway. Oh yeah. You know, I mean, you know, we're going to have guys that got hit with fucking swords hard this year. Yeah. Right. And they're going to come back and be like, I know come.

They stole the DVOA of offense, defense, special teams. And overall we're 26th in offense, 29th in defense, 27th overall. But guess what number we are in special teams.

Prescott 00:12:52 Crazy is they're the best at their position. Turpin is going to make the Pro Bowl and all pro is a kick returner. He leads the league because we've had so many opportunities because they score so much.

He's 41 or 41 and doesn't miss under 50. And of course he he he thinks it on that field goal. But but then he slips so I can give him a pass for that. It wasn't like a he just shanked it or it was a bad form. He just slipped and and he still almost made it.

So the players, you know, players, coaches understand what player the effort that players are given right now to. And plus it.
Prescott 00:16:31 Is to me special teams coach is a hard job because you have to convince grown men to run full speed and crash into people to try and tackle them. They get no glory on specialty. You never hear of a, you never hear of like a player who goes down. It's very few and far between. Like like Bill. Bill Bates was our special teams guy when I was growing up, and he didn't even get that much puff. He was just a fan favorite. But of course, you know quarterbacks, you can convince a high priced player to play defense, to play cornerback or safety or make the tackle or the big hit. But on special teams, you got to convince young players because most veterans are not doing special teams, they are not going to do special teams. So you got a lot of young guys or retread like players who are old in their career, but they're down the bench. Guys got to convince them to.

And every single time he got thrown three times and all three times, it was either behind him at his feet or way over his head. And I'm like, can we just get a ball that's catchable to him? I just want to see him with the ball in the hand.

If we had a quarterback that could sit in the pocket for a second and then throw the ball and somebody's rush was you just didn't have the time to do it.
Prescott 00:19:38 And people are going to think that we didn't like Mingo. I like Mingo coming out of college. I like Mingo like I even liked the move to get him. I just hated the fourth round pick we had to give up to get him.
