Intro 00:00:10 Fought through a lot. Do not like us. How you're walking with a lion. Got me feeling like Michael. I've been on the way. The team on my bad. Like a biker. Shawty wanna be with a star. But you lucky if I invite you. We can take it to the next spot. They yellin like Prescott. Everybody like there ain't no brakes, no rest stop. We tryna get your head chopped.
Intro 00:00:26 The whole club yelling. Everybody. Everybody. Everybody. Everybody. Everybody. Everybody. Everybody. Everybody.
Prescott 00:00:36 Here we go, here we go.
Prescott 00:00:39 Victory Formation podcast and the actual Victory Formation a couple days after a victory. So happy Prescott is back. What was that? So happy.
Eddie 00:00:50 Victory Tuesday.
Prescott 00:00:52 Victory Tuesday said.
Eddie 00:00:54 She was fun man a lot of people were you know it's it's a strange feeling to to watch a game with cowboy fans, and they get upset when you're winning.
Prescott 00:01:06 And you're winning.
Eddie 00:01:07 You know what I mean? Like, I was so excited in the discord and stuff to like, talk about. I'm like, oh my God, did you see that? And then like, people are like, why are we willing? Yeah, why they scored that touchdown. Like, you don't just take a knee and shit, dude. It's just not basketball.
Prescott 00:01:22 It's like. And it's like, I'm a I'm a in the middle because I want both. I want us to lose every single game. But I wanted us to win this game. I still want us to win, but I want to I want us to lose every single game. I want us to be competitive. And if you listen to the pod, you've heard me say it. I want us to be very competitive but lose every game here on out. But I was glad. If we're going to beat somebody, let it be somebody from the NFC East.
Eddie 00:01:48 I think if you try to get the draft pick that you want, Karma's going to not be on your side.
Eddie 00:01:54 You don't get it. Yep. Karma is not going to be on your side. I don't give a fuck if you if you if you literally pull all your starters and you and you release your best quarterback like the Giants did and shit like that, like, yeah, they're not going to get like, karma's not going to be on their side. So if we tried to tank, I think it just be organic about it bro. Yeah. Like if we do lose, if we have we have all backup offensive linemen on on the team right now except for Steele. We have we have our backup quarterback. We have these two running backs that nobody can believed in. We have one receiver, we have a broken up defense. And we're and we won that game. And the next four the next four games are been the or all of our opponents have losing records. Yeah. So what are we going to do. We are we going to try our hardest to lose those games or just play football?
Prescott 00:02:49 We're four and seven right now, and we have a legit chance to be eight and seven by the end of the I mean, a legit chance.
Prescott 00:02:56 And I'm like,
Prescott 00:02:58 And.
Prescott 00:02:58 Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in. They pulled me back in.
Eddie 00:03:05 Well, it's I mean, it's it's it's a tough feeling to. I mean, if we were in a different situation if, if, if rush wasn't being successful. Yeah. And our defense didn't kind of turn it around a little bit and it didn't give us a little boost. And I wouldn't be sad that we lost to Washington, but we beat the shit out of commanders. I watched Dick walk off that field mopey and sad and and that's all I wanted to see. Right. Yep. And all it did, really was create this chaos where, you know, now, Jerry, Jerry Jones feels like he needed to say something about, you know. Oh, my God. Hey, McCarthy, you know, you're doing a good job. I'm not ruling it out, But, I mean, he's just he's just saying stuff. Yeah. And people are taking it for.
Eddie 00:04:02 For what? I mean, they're not taking for what it's worth. They're taking it for what they want it to say. Yeah. And they're like, oh, okay. He's gonna fucking sign them again. And Jerry doesn't want to win and blah blah, blah. What the fuck are you talking, hater?
Prescott 00:04:14 You're thinking, oh, Jerry doesn't like that the attention is off of him. He needs something back on him. That's why he made that asinine statement. He could have went the whole year without even saying that. Like we already know, it's nothing. Literally.
Eddie 00:04:27 It's not like he said, hey, FYI, that, somebody asked him about it and he's like.
Prescott 00:04:33 Yeah, exactly. He didn't bring it up.
Eddie 00:04:34 I was like, are you? We just won. Do you want me to tell you? Yeah, yeah. I'm still gonna fire his ass. No you didn't. You just say, I'm not ruling anything out. Just let's talk about something else.
Prescott 00:04:44 The only way we don't ask if somehow is it somehow we win the Super Bowl by 30 points.
Prescott 00:04:49 That's the only way Mike McCarthy's coming back. That's the only way. Other than.
Eddie 00:04:52 That, if somebody said, hey, how did your wife look on that dress and your wife sitting there. You're gonna go. She look fine, man. She look absolutely great. We're fucking talking about.
Prescott 00:05:02 It looks great. Most beautiful.
Eddie 00:05:03 I'm not going to say are. We might look at other dresses later on. I mean, that's just not how it works.
Prescott 00:05:09 Yeah, or I've seen other women look better in that dress. Like, what else are you gonna say? It's just like you want to go home safe.
Eddie 00:05:16 Is this timing? People don't know when to ask questions, and now they're. Everybody's trying to run with it. I think it's funny. So,
Prescott 00:05:24 So, would you like about this game, who who jumped out and, like, who did? Well, well, in your eyes, what was the reason we I'm going to.
Eddie 00:05:33 Talk I'm going to talk again about our, our depth at our cornerback because he did it again.
Eddie 00:05:41 Right. Butler is there again. Yeah. Like just like I said he was last week is we're building on the the depth that we need. It was hard to get that. Notice that oh it's not going to play again or Tavon Treyvon is not going to play this week, is not seeing them play together has been frustrating, but seeing Carson grow up a little bit early and then seeing Butler, showing what he can do is I mean, that's what we need next year and the year or next and the year or next. I mean, having good cornerbacks is is is a gift. So idol Butler it would definitely be somebody that I say oh my God. Wow. He really turned it on. He showcased what he had and he did everything he needed to do to be on this team.
Prescott 00:06:30 So how do you feel about him leading the team in tackles as a cornerback?
Eddie 00:06:36 I don't believe what Deon and Deon is trying to sell his cornerback that doesn't tackle. So what? Yeah, the way that it is.
Eddie 00:06:43 And if you want a coaches, we'll explain to the.
Prescott 00:06:45 People who might not know what you're talking about. Explain to the people who might not know.
Eddie 00:06:48 So dear Deon, somebody asked him, hey, why? You're, Your your. I don't think your boys ready for the NFL because he doesn't tackle. That's what he said. That's what the reporter said. And Deion said if your corner is leading the team in tackles and you got a problem, let's. Yep. If you believe that you really don't know the game very well. And I'll tell you why. I mean, if you're if you're safeties, if you're free safety is making a majority of the tackles. It means that your linebackers aren't making plays, which means that your offensive, your defensive line is not doing their job. The linebackers are being tied up, so the safeties are making the tackles. Corners always have to make tackles because they set the they set the outside. So if there's something coming that way, they're going to make a tackle.
Eddie 00:07:39 Deon didn't Deon made and he made the he made the phrase up business decision.
Prescott 00:07:45 Yep. He was the one that made that famous.
Eddie 00:07:48 So for when he said, I mean I physically watched this kid making freaking play after play after play. And it wasn't on, and what he said after that about Travis was if your corner is making the play, if he's making, tackles, it means that he's giving up catches. So he's tackling the guy that caught it. But that's not what Butler was doing. Butler was making plays on the runs that were coming in the run. Didn't like making plays for runs. Yeah, he would.
Prescott 00:08:17 Never do that. Like he would never go up like it was a famous like if you were back then they would show it and and Pat Summerall and John Madden would, would break it down when they were doing the huddle on defense, when they would do a huddle on our defense, and our cornerbacks would be out there on their own, like they wouldn't even be part of the.
Eddie 00:08:34 Dome, didn't even have part in the huddle. He didn't even know what defense was coming. His mentality was, I'm covering this guy, but this guy.
Prescott 00:08:40 Is is not going to catch the ball. And he did it like and to his.
Eddie 00:08:44 They didn't throw to his side right.
Prescott 00:08:45 He was born and and then whenever they did throw this side he did to break it up or intercept the ball like he had very low chances to do it. But like he was like. Like Eddie was saying this. They just feel if a cornerback is making a lot of tackles, is is tough being down the field and he's getting a lot of stuff caught on him. But in this context of the game, it was a good 12 tackles that that he had. And even when they were yeah, he had 12 and they were throwing a lot of Washington throws a lot of quick stuff. So it's not like he's tackling them 1520 yards down the field. They were throwing stuff behind the line of scrimmage at the line of scrimmage.
Prescott 00:09:23 So where he's tackling them for a two, three four yard gain, which is in essence an extension of a run play for an offense whenever they hike, turn and throw it to like the it was.
Eddie 00:09:34 It was.
Prescott 00:09:34 NFL.
Eddie 00:09:35 That's running times. How many times did you see Ekeler just leaking out. And that's part of their game right. Swing on people off and leak. Ekeler out. Run people off and leak. Ertz out. And that's exactly what their game is. So yeah. So he was making.
Prescott 00:09:50 Lots of stats. It was a pass. But in terms of play, it was in essence a run. Kind of like the thing where they do where, you know, it's coming with a jet sweep and they're in the pistol and he catches it and he throws it half a yard in front of him, and then the guy runs. That's technically a pass, but instead.
Eddie 00:10:09 But but it's a run. Anything in front. Yeah a pass. And so that's why he's if you watch the game you.
Prescott 00:10:15 Will see that a lot of their passes were quick. It wasn't like he was getting beat downfield. And he he let them catch 12 passes and he and he tackled 12 wide receivers. Now that would be bad. But it wasn't in that case. So this is where.
Eddie 00:10:27 Did you rewatch the game. You rewatched it right. Yeah yeah.
Prescott 00:10:30 Yeah yeah. And that's what I was saying. Once I rewatch it, you can tell who didn't watch the game, who was just mimicking, something they saw on Twitter.
Eddie 00:10:37 Yeah. So what what I was realistically looking at because I was like, hey, Butler, Butler's going to be my, my, my MVP, like in this game. Wow. He's done great. Look at all this shit. We'll get it. And then if you don't don't look at the last play of the game, though. Yeah, don't look at the last play of the game because for some reason he just got lost as he was out there. Oh my god.
Eddie 00:10:59 Jordan Jordan Lewis tried to catch up to to. I mean I don't know what covers they're in because it looked like they had levels. And Terry McLaren caught the ball in between the level. Yeah. It was like it caught the ball.
Prescott 00:11:14 Attempt to.
Eddie 00:11:15 Type lost. Butler was backwards so he tried to turn around to catch up. Jordan Lewis had a bad angle, so he just gave up and fell down. And then our safety just couldn't get the angle either. That was just ridiculous. So don't watch the last play and and feel that Butler. That was Butler's game. It wasn't.
Prescott 00:11:35 What happened on that play should never happen to a professional football team. I understand a Hail Mary a deep bomb. But they catch it like that and then run through the defense without being touched. One time that that.
Eddie 00:11:47 That was inexcusable, though. It was a freak of a play.
Prescott 00:11:50 Yes. That's inexcusable.
Eddie 00:11:52 the catch.
Prescott 00:11:52 I can understand, but the hole after he caught it, that was inexcusable to catch you.
Prescott 00:11:57 You can give that up. Tackle him. The game is over. That's it. Let them catch it inbounds. Tackle him. Game is over.
Eddie 00:12:03 Yeah. The as good of the game as Butler and Jordan Lewis had that exact play. Kind of it just made me just go oh turn it off.
Prescott 00:12:13 That did me.
Eddie 00:12:15 Play. You don't need any need to go after it. But the the next play after that is I want to be, I want to put in the Hall of Fame.
Prescott 00:12:25 Yeah.
Eddie 00:12:25 So far the missed extra point to me.
Prescott 00:12:27 It's the game of the year when it comes to excitement. That and what what's what's really crazy is the game itself wasn't exciting. The last five minutes of the game was exciting. Like the first three quarters, the score was 10 to 9. The most boring game you will ever see. Nobody could move.
Eddie 00:12:43 It. Game, I loved it. I know what you're saying. It wasn't. It wasn't,
Prescott 00:12:47 You had a kick.
Eddie 00:12:47 Blocked. We had I mean.
Prescott 00:12:49 They they had a kick missed. It was turnovers. They had interception. We had the fumble. And so it was just it was good. It was a defensive battle.
Eddie 00:12:57 You know it was good to see. Hey what's his name? Our running back was just he was running battle down. All was.
Prescott 00:13:07 Done.
Eddie 00:13:07 Was it? I don't his numbers don't show what he did in that game because 86.
Prescott 00:13:12 I hope they resign him. I hope they sign him. He's been. I don't know why. He's been doing very well this year.
Eddie 00:13:17 He doesn't have to be a lead back.
Prescott 00:13:19 Yeah.
Eddie 00:13:19 That's part of the running backs because he's absolutely good.
Prescott 00:13:23 He can be like the pilot to somebody else next year. Like how Pollard was to Zeke when when Zeke was a rookie I mean when Pollard came in.
Eddie 00:13:30 If if he was on a different team he'd be showcased as the number one running back as well. I mean, like if you went to Carolina, he'd start over. Chuba if he, you know, if he was in, I mean, there's so many teams that right now he would start as well.
Eddie 00:13:47 So I think it's a value to keep him. He knows. I mean, he he he busts his ass these last couple of years. And I think.
Prescott 00:13:56 Only the only downside to his game was that he was always injured. He always got hurt. He always had a season ending injury. Every year he's been in the league. This is the first year that he hasn't had a serious injury. Knock on wood or oh, he's out for 4 to 6 weeks or out for the season and he's showing up whenever they can. It's just that they've been down so much. But a big score is he doesn't get the milk to clock or do running. Like, you know, to get Zeke 20 to 25 touches.
Eddie 00:14:21 I don't know why Zeke was getting carries in the middle of that game. I was freaking out. I was like why is he getting carries? Why is he getting carry.
Prescott 00:14:27 Where's Malik Davis at? Where's Davis is on.
Eddie 00:14:30 I didn't know he was on the practice squad still.
Prescott 00:14:32 So there's he's still on there.
Prescott 00:14:33 And where's, the guy from from the Vikings to cook.
Eddie 00:14:37 I don't know where cook is. He's not even on the team right now.
Prescott 00:14:40 I thought he died like he showed up for one game and then never heard from him again. I thought he died.
Eddie 00:14:45 But, what was I going to say If we have if we, if we if I think we just need a complimentary back to them. Right. Like like how Detroit has, you know, has Gibbs and has Montgomery. Montgomery is going to chew up yards and Gibbs is that back that changes that pace. That was that was seeking Pollard three years ago.
Prescott 00:15:10 Yep.
Eddie 00:15:11 Right. So we need a complementary back from college for and I think our running backs would be would be awesome if we just had somebody that's fast and quick and thinking like Etienne's brother from Clemson.
Prescott 00:15:25 Oh man. Yeah.
Eddie 00:15:26 Or from Georgia, or shit man. Even the I don't know if you've watched ASU lately, but this kid scatter, bro. And I've heard of him.
Prescott 00:15:36 But I haven't seen him.
Eddie 00:15:37 People say that he runs like the back from, from the Chiefs. and that doesn't go down like.
Prescott 00:15:44 His shoes are too big.
Eddie 00:15:46 Like. Like he just.
Prescott 00:15:48 He he.
Eddie 00:15:49 Refuses to go down. It's it's it's just an awesome thing to see. And and the offensive lineman can see it and it wants. And it makes them want to block harder for a guy like that. You know what I mean? Yeah. But I mean there's so many there's no in the Notre Dame running back. Love would be just a amazing complement to to him. So I mean it's like we don't have to go after Dante.
Prescott 00:16:14 We don't. It would be amazing if I would love to get him. But everything I've been reading is they said that, you know, this is a this is a very deep class for for running backs. Absolutely. Even if we don't get the top tier, like we can still get great quality running backs in the first three rounds. And so absolutely, I was wondering about that after we won, I'm like, well, that took us out of the Jonty sweepstakes.
Prescott 00:16:41 We can't get him or Travis Hunter because we're going to be too low. And so I'm like, no, I gotta see who else is going to be available, which is don't worry, I got. I'm okay.
Eddie 00:16:49 With. I'm I'm going to fill your head with as many running backs as I possibly can. Running backs. Got it. Receivers, defensive ends, linebackers, safeties. Everybody. I'm already going through it. I'm already doing my this man.
Prescott 00:17:01 He's our college guru. Draft guru, mock drafts I don't do those until like I think when we did it on the pod, it was the first time I ever did mock draft on a regular basis. I don't do mock draft, I watch college, I try to watch college to enjoy it, not to see, oh, he'll be good in the pros. He'll be good. I don't watch it.
Eddie 00:17:19 What I'll do is if I hear it like somebody did, did this today or something like on Saturdays or anything. Yeah. Any news that I get I go, oh I pull up that mock draft and I'll just throw, I'll just pull it up and say and just run one to see where he falls.
Prescott 00:17:33 And I'm not a psychopath like that. I'm a normal person. Eddie's a weirdo.
Eddie 00:17:37 He got a wife and kids that are still like, hey, I need, I need a help as assistance here. Mine. Like, I got dogs and my kids and my.
Prescott 00:17:45 Ex.
Eddie 00:17:45 Actually, you know, they don't need me anymore.
Prescott 00:17:48 Yeah, we see how I go. So this is, A part we haven't done in a while.
Hammer Drop 00:17:56 I stand up and carry a big, big hammer.
Prescott 00:18:02 Who are you going to say is our hammer at the game?
Eddie 00:18:04 So I'm going to say Butler, I think. I think it was.
Prescott 00:18:07 Butler big time. He was. He was big time. He was big time. So now I got to pick somebody else.
Eddie 00:18:12 There was some other big time players too. I mean I'm.
Prescott 00:18:15 Sure over Sean showed up you know you know five.
Eddie 00:18:18 Out of five pressures fucking crazy in a sack.
Prescott 00:18:22 I want to give it up to our backup offensive line. They came and they dropped the hammer on, which is supposed to be the strength of a Dan Quinn defense, the defensive line.
Prescott 00:18:34 And did you see that up?
Eddie 00:18:35 Did you see that clip that I sent of Hoffman in Louisville.
Prescott 00:18:39 Man? Still. Yeah. Like that guy was blocking down the field after the whistle. He was trying to destroy people.
Eddie 00:18:46 I don't give a fuck if you put Hoffman at at Waterboy or something. Put him in the. He needs to be somewhere on the field.
Prescott 00:18:54 Because.
Eddie 00:18:55 He's just that enforcer. Like hockey teams, hockey teams. Employing enforcer doesn't have to score goals, doesn't have to be a good passer. Just is going to stick up for somebody that fucking gives Turpin the fucking shoulder or doesn't get.
Prescott 00:19:11 Off of that. Yeah, we don't like what he lacks in skill. He makes up for in meanness and toughness. Yeah.
Eddie 00:19:18 And we and I.
Prescott 00:19:18 Like that team.
Eddie 00:19:19 Needs that and it changes every single. I'm not kidding. You know every single time he's in the lineup we run the ball good.
Prescott 00:19:28 Good every.
Eddie 00:19:28 Single time. If you look at it every single time he's somewhere on that line.
Eddie 00:19:34 We run the ball good. I don't know if it's a combination. I'm not saying he's magic. I'm just saying I don't know what it is.
Prescott 00:19:40 And in sports, you're going to have people who are dirty. Who play dirty? Who do tips and tricks to be dirty? Like behind the referees back. But then you have those people who aren't dirty, but they just play so hard all the time. And they, like, so intense that you're like, dude, we're resting on this play. Like the run is not even going to your side, but he's still blocking his butt off like it's the final play of the Super Bowl and people like that. Every team should have somebody like that plays every play.
Eddie 00:20:11 We should call those guys, the, practice squad All-Americans or.
Prescott 00:20:16 Oh yeah, yeah.
Eddie 00:20:17 Because they're out there ready to make a team.
Prescott 00:20:18 Routine.
Eddie 00:20:19 And you're and you're like, hey, relax, relax, relax. And they're just trying to make a team and you're just like, okay, you're about to win MVP.
Eddie 00:20:25 This this practice.
Prescott 00:20:27 That is my sport. And those guys are like that. On the free throws. You're like, dude, it's just a free. And they're boxing out and trying to get them to rebound. Like like it's the game winning play. And it's like man calm down man. Like relax ness. And that's what it is. And I think that that's what we need right now.
Eddie 00:20:43 Yeah, I think so too. I think we did a good job. I mean, look at all of the guys that were plugging in and playing or playing pretty good, right. Like yeah. You know Schoonmaker he just need a chance man.
Prescott 00:20:54 He just.
Eddie 00:20:55 Needed like I.
Prescott 00:20:55 Said in the group I hated him.
Eddie 00:20:57 Well no, I guess I mean I'll.
Prescott 00:21:01 Use guys, I'll use guys hated him and I hated him. But I'm he's not better than.
Eddie 00:21:06 He's not better than than Ferg.
Prescott 00:21:09 Oh, no, he's definitely.
Eddie 00:21:10 He's not specifically a very good athlete. He just he was he's just in the right spot at the right time.
Prescott 00:21:15 Yeah, he he did his job like. And that's what you need.
Eddie 00:21:17 From fucking and, and and rush almost overthrew him on that wide open. That was it.
Prescott 00:21:23 On a touchdown.
Eddie 00:21:23 Yeah. Needed every six six inches.
Prescott 00:21:25 Yeah.
Eddie 00:21:27 But span forward span four. It's fucking he's catching every ball that comes to him. And he's everything.
Prescott 00:21:33 That came to him.
Eddie 00:21:33 He made it. He made an amazing block on on one of these runs that it's just every single person is doing something that they need to do in that game. Everybody did something that they needed to do to to make.
Prescott 00:21:47 That to do.
Eddie 00:21:48 I mean, look at look at what your boy dropped that kick off before he picked it up and said, you know what, I'm gonna hit the B.
Prescott 00:21:55 Then he hit the B button. Yeah, he hit the B button said.
Eddie 00:21:57 And then hit R1. And that was.
Prescott 00:21:59 It. Yep. And then that was it.
Eddie 00:22:02 Straight gon bro. That that other kick off didn't need to happen.
Prescott 00:22:06 Nobody touched him. So. All right.
Eddie 00:22:09 So nobody touched on any of our kickoff returns and that onside when he caught it. He should have taken a knee. He shouldn't have scored.
Prescott 00:22:16 You're thinking that. Yeah. If you just went down the game was over. But yeah I can't be mad at him. Somebody else that will take that knee a long time ago. Now I want to take that knee. That's something you can show your kids. It's one of years from now he's going to show his kids about. I think it was one year. He's like, man, after I got out the group. Boys, the men. This is the next highlight of my career. Yeah.
Eddie 00:22:36 But it's.
Prescott 00:22:36 Funny. So now the next thing we got nailed that.
Nailed it Drop 00:22:38 I nailed it, nailed.
Eddie 00:22:41 It.
Prescott 00:22:43 Who's out now, so I'll go first this time. All right. I would probably say the penalties on guidance. Guidance is, the penalties like he's not like he, he, he's playing average.
Prescott 00:22:57 But the penalties are making him below average. His blocking is still good at times and bad at times where it evens out. But the penalties is what's making him a a household name on a in a bad way.
Eddie 00:23:10 And when I was getting angry during the game and I was like, what? What is this guy doing that get cut? I mean, just take him out when they took him out. And then I see me and I was like, oh, good. And then I thought about it afterwards and I kept thinking about it and I'm like, oh, you know what? He doesn't have an all pro guard sitting next to him.
Prescott 00:23:31 He does not teaching him.
Eddie 00:23:33 I mean, that's just that's a crutch for a rookie, right? He didn't have that in the last two, two games or whatever. So. That's a big big deal. And for, for him to, to be out there all alone by himself with basically kind of a rookie ish guy at left at left guard too.
Eddie 00:23:55 That's it's tough. So I, I had to kind of take a step back and kind of think about it. And I'm going to give him a pass for this game because, I mean, he didn't give up any pressures at all out of the 25 drop backs that he had past blocking, he gave up zero pressure.
Prescott 00:24:12 Our offensive line was spectacular this game.
Eddie 00:24:15 Ridiculous.
Prescott 00:24:16 But and then when you look at it Bibby he's a rookie. But when we have our starting five he has All-Pro on the left and on the right of him. So that covers up a lot of mistakes he can make. Because Tyler Smith is top five. His position when Zach Martin is not hurt, he's top five at his position. He's the best in the league at his position. He that's a Hall of Famer right there. And so it's like Beebe has the cushion of jobs. Just. Hey, man, y'all, y'all carry me. Yeah, just pick me up. I'm not.
Eddie 00:24:45 Arms. I'm not sad.
Eddie 00:24:46 That Martin is is kind of relaxing right now.
Prescott 00:24:50 I mean, I think this is last year.
Eddie 00:24:53 I think it's a I think it's his last year with the Cowboys.
Prescott 00:24:57 Yeah. I think now like before this season started I thought it was last year. But because of how subpar it's been I think he's gonna want to do over.
Eddie 00:25:07 I think he.
Prescott 00:25:07 Wants to do over a year. Yeah. Because. Because it's not because of skill. It's just he's been so hurt and banged up. It's been hurting because he's a technician. Like if they had videotapes of like, say they was selling tapes on a rack of how to be a guard, it would be his tape because he's not superiorly athletic, but he's a tech man. It's like Tim Duncan. He does everything right the right way. And that's why he's been so good so long. But when he gets hurt and he can't do his technique, it shows up that he can get beat by athletic defensive tackles because he's not, you know, crazy athletic.
Eddie 00:25:41 Yeah, he is all about technique and making sure that your steps are right. And, you know, that was one thing that I had no idea about when when I was younger, I went to a coaching clinic when I was, just out of high school, just to kind of learn a little bit about things. And I was watching this offensive line guru, and he was, you know, teaching these guys that I never really sat and watched an offensive line practice before and how they were taught. And I mean, they they legitimately have steps like dance moves, like a dance step. And they, they need to and it's all in choreography together. If one of them make the wrong step and they're turning their shoulders the wrong way, it doesn't work. And so when I saw that and I learned about that, it's just it's not just physical prowess, right? They don't just go up there and manhandle somebody and move them out of the way. Yeah, there's angles so they.
Prescott 00:26:41 Can like whenever you have a Tyron Smith he can do it.
Prescott 00:26:44 But that's.
Eddie 00:26:45 Why. But that's not what when you go back to when they when they fall back to that that's when they get beat. Yeah. It's all about technique. It's about your steps. It's about your angles. It's about what your guy is doing next to you compared to what you're doing. It's all that. It's not about you and you and me one on one. Unless it's the fucking. What is that stupid rugby play the Eagles do the the push push push push. Yeah that's just one on one. I'm pushing you I'm.
Prescott 00:27:15 Yeah that's. And that's why you don't have to be like a great athlete to be an offensive lineman. You can be. But you don't have to be. You can be a regular guy. But if your technique is sound, you'll be a good offensive lineman.
Eddie 00:27:29 Yeah, well, you can write your, all letters come in to Prescott. well, yeah, straight to him, because I didn't.
Prescott 00:27:37 Say any.
Eddie 00:27:37 Better. I don't believe that.
Eddie 00:27:39 I think I said you don't. You don't know all the offensive linemen that are listed here. You guys are all great athletes. And that was Prescott. He was saying all the fat boys play off.
Prescott 00:27:49 I didn't say you you aren't athletes. I just said you don't have to be like for instance, you can't be a slow, slow out of your break guy and still expect to be a great wide receiver. You got to be twitchy.
Eddie 00:28:05 I think I think defensive linemen, you don't have to be smart to play defensive line.
Prescott 00:28:11 You don't see quarterback.
Eddie 00:28:12 Yeah, you can be an amazing fricking athlete and be a rock. And just I'm just monster your way through things and you just need to know what gaps you have. All defensive linemen need to be smart. They don't have to be the most athletically talented. It's amazing if they are because yeah, in the NFL you're going to get offensive linemen that you you think that they would play quarterback or you know, because it.
Prescott 00:28:35 Was crazy because with an offensive lineman.
Prescott 00:28:37 Some of the biggest things is their arm length and their feet, which has really nothing to do with athleticism. Like if your arm length is good and you have nimble feet, you can be a good offensive lineman. I thought you were.
Eddie 00:28:49 Saying the size. I was like, I've never heard of the size. It's always their arm length. Yeah, how quick they can move their feet and to be honest, the size of their ass. And you want to be.
Prescott 00:29:01 Bill Parcells always said that.
Eddie 00:29:02 Hey, if they have a shelf, they they literally. I don't know what it was about, like how bodies are built. Right. And most you'll see when offensive linemen that are huge, in their playing days, you think, oh, these guys are fat, lazy. And that's why they're offensive linemen. But when they stop playing, all of a sudden they, they lose like £100. It's you have to really want to be that big.
Prescott 00:29:28 Yeah. and and that's what I and and that was my comment.
Prescott 00:29:32 So if y'all sending letters my name is Eddie. Eddie DTI.
Eddie 00:29:36 Yeah. Exactly. Yeah.
Prescott 00:29:37 So anyway. Yeah, but but but our office in Berlin did a pretty good job as a team. We did pretty good.
Eddie 00:29:44 I agree.
Prescott 00:29:45 I didn't see any glaring holes. We did get lazy at times on defense, but we they they they made up for it in timely turnover stops. We had many three and outs or punts. So it wasn't like they were killing us. You know, kind of like the Saints game when they didn't punt at all. It was like they had lots of punts. So NFL defense is going to give up points. So so that doesn't bother me if we give up a touchdown here or there, that's not a bad thing. We can't shut everybody out every week. So giving up points is.
Eddie 00:30:17 Not a bad thing. Was going to get his points right. But you just got to exactly. You got to play making them work for it.
Prescott 00:30:22 Or like man we're scratching.
Prescott 00:30:23 We're scrapping for every yard. And they're making it difficult for us to score points. That is when I can be like, because we can give up 30 points and still have a good defensive game if we're making them work for it. And there's fluky stuff where, oh, the ball got tipped and then he ran in for a touchdown, or we gave up an interception, and now they're on the seven yard line and they scored a couple touchdowns or a kick return. You know things like that.
Eddie 00:30:47 Think about the beginning of the game right. They blocked a field goal and then drove down the field. And we were like oh fuck this game's over. Yeah exactly. They couldn't do what they normally would. Yeah.
Prescott 00:30:56 And normally the beginning of the year that was like oh that's it, game over.
Eddie 00:31:00 But what I was thinking was like, could you imagine being a Redskins fan or being on that sideline and being like, fuck, man, we just fucking blocked this field goal. And we all we got was a field goal out of it.
Eddie 00:31:09 And that right away it was kind of moving towards us and I was like, see, I told you we were going to be if you guys go back and watch these and see which one of us, which one of us said that we were going to beat Washington.
Prescott 00:31:25 I think it was me. If I had to think.
Eddie 00:31:27 Of it, I'll give that to you. I'll give that to you. But, you know, it wasn't.
Prescott 00:31:30 No, I. I thought they were going to lose. I thought they were going to lose because, Dan Quinn revenge game. We just haven't been playing well. But this is the game where I said they just. At this point, it's just pride at this point. Like, you just gotta go out there and be like, man, they've been whooping our tail. We gotta step up and do something. But like like we don't have to, like, scheme isn't gonna teach me how to tackle this guy that's coming right at me. Like, if he's going to run me over or just run by me, that that's not scheme, that's me.
Eddie 00:32:00 And that's the type of said that they were doing. You said it last week and even some, of the commentators after the game said it, it said Kingsbury, his defense or his offense did this in Arizona as well. Like when the beginning of the year, everybody was like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, relax. You're fucking well. And then all of a sudden defensive coordinators are like, oh, look at this. This is what's going to happen. Like, let's.
Prescott 00:32:27 Do this and let's try this. And it worked. They figured it.
Eddie 00:32:30 Out. Well they're a two game losing streak right now baby Right. They play the Saints next week. Who's going to win that game?
Prescott 00:32:38 We have a good chance I don't think we'll catch the Eagles for NFC. Like we had to win out to even have a chance to.
Eddie 00:32:45 Go to the playoffs. There going to be three teams from the NFC East going.
Prescott 00:32:49 We have a we have a real strong chance, which are because our hardest part of schedule is behind us are the weakest part of our schedule is ahead of us.
Prescott 00:32:58 We still have some some.
Eddie 00:33:00 Some, some tough games in Washington, right?
Prescott 00:33:03 Yeah, we play all three of them again.
Eddie 00:33:06 I'm just saying the Eagles and Washington are really good teams. So yes, those aren't lay down teams. And then the other was the other good team that we play.
Prescott 00:33:14 we got Cincinnati is still on the schedule but the other five is not. They're not a juggernaut but they are.
Eddie 00:33:22 They're the ones that are, five and six. They're not going to.
Prescott 00:33:26 It was somebody else, man. It was somebody else. Good. Hold on. I'm good right now. We got Eagles the Buccaneers. That was it. I couldn't remember who it was. We got six games one, two three, 456 games left. We got the Giants Thanksgiving then the Bengals, then the Panthers. Then the Buccaneers. Then the Eagles then the commanders again. So we still got three against the NFC East. Then we have three uncommon you know like Bengals Buccaneers and that's it. We got three of those teams too.
Eddie 00:34:03 Like the Bucs are fighting for their lives.
Prescott 00:34:05 All of them. All of them are very all of them are winnable. Like we can win every single one of these games.
Eddie 00:34:11 We can win out throughout the year. Seriously, we'd be nine would be nine and crazy to me. Well, nine and.
Prescott 00:34:19 712, three, four, five, six. We got six games. So now we've gone ten and seven. Now because we're four. Yeah, we're four and seven right now. If we went out we'll be ten and seven. That'd be.
Eddie 00:34:29 Fucking.
Prescott 00:34:29 Which I seriously doubt we'll win out because it's just the NFL. Even if we were humming on all cylinders, I wouldn't expect this to win every game.
Eddie 00:34:36 Even if we go four and two in these last six games. Not not I think there's a there's a legitimate chance of a wild card.
Prescott 00:34:44 It's a chance. It's a chance.
Eddie 00:34:46 Especially if you know how depending on how the NFC North goes. I mean they're all so close together.
Eddie 00:34:53 Yeah I mean there could be three teams in the NFC East going if we don't.
Prescott 00:34:58 Make it, I want them to lose the next two games so we can be out of it. I don't want us to go all the way to the end of the season. It's like, okay, now we got to play the Eagles this week and the commanders in the final game of the season, and we can make the play. I don't want to go down to that. I don't want to be stressed out those last two games. If we're not going to make it, I want to know now, I can't have this in my life. It's my heart can't take it.
Eddie 00:35:21 And, you know, I think the next two games are really going to show us what we're going to like they are if we win on Thanksgiving, like I think we will because we should. I mean, even now, DeVito might not even play now. Now, I think my play is not going to come in and be like, oh, you guys have so much confidence in me now that you made me the backup, but then put me on the third team and then made me backup.
Eddie 00:35:46 But what might.
Prescott 00:35:47 Boost his ego is knowing that they started the veto because they want a tank. So it's like, oh, they know I'm better than him. That's why they started him. They want to lose.
Eddie 00:35:57 Yeah, they started DeVito because he's a crowd favorite and they knew that they're already out of it, right?
Prescott 00:36:02 Yeah. And so they want to lose will.
Eddie 00:36:04 Be his.
Prescott 00:36:04 Best chance to win.
Eddie 00:36:06 Drew lock at home is not going to sell as many tickets as DeVito knows man.
Prescott 00:36:11 Come on in the veto.
Eddie 00:36:13 Did you see? yeah.
Prescott 00:36:14 He yeah, he did it. Baker Mayfield what was that? Yeah.
Eddie 00:36:16 What he scored. You see.
Prescott 00:36:19 Mayfield doing it. I was like, oh, I loved it.
Eddie 00:36:21 I loved it.
Prescott 00:36:22 So what are you thinking Thursday. What's what's gonna be the outcome. What's what's what's going to be the score.
Eddie 00:36:30 I'm going to go 3313 Dallas Cowboys with a with a turducken with a turducken on the side. I mean I missed I think.
Prescott 00:36:42 Bro like I actually like 13 as their score. But I think it'll be 23 for us. I don't think we'll get to 33. I think there'll be 2313. We win and I have to be on the two win.
Eddie 00:36:53 Streak, get a 100 yard rusher. I think we break that. That would.
Prescott 00:36:56 Be nice. That would be nice. And then we got the Panthers after that which should be another win. So that would be three.
Eddie 00:37:03 In a row. That's a Sunday game right.
Prescott 00:37:05 Yeah. So Thursday then the following Sunday we got so this is our our game. So that means.
Eddie 00:37:11 We got ten days off before the Panthers get.
Prescott 00:37:14 Ready for the juggernaut Brice. Yeah I mean the Panthers.
Eddie 00:37:18 How the hell of that. That's not ten days Thursday.
Prescott 00:37:21 No. So Thursday is our third game in 11 days that we had this Thursday. Then we get ten days off the next Sunday to play the Panthers.
Eddie 00:37:29 All right.
Prescott 00:37:31 So so so so so Thursday is our third out of, you know, our three condensed games.
Eddie 00:37:38 I think I think the 3313 I say 33 or 30, I say 30, 33, 13.
Prescott 00:37:46 And I said 23, 13.
Eddie 00:37:47 All right. I'm writing it down.
Prescott 00:37:49 Like if we hit 33, we scored in a different way, kind of like a Turpin, because if you looked at it, we won this game, but we had two kickoff return for touchdowns, but we actually had it one that that last touchdown was, you know, unnecessary. But we had 34. But we had two kickoffs for a touchdown.
Eddie 00:38:06 We were up by one because you know that there's been five kickoff returns in the NFL this year. And we have two of them. We have two of them in one game.
Prescott 00:38:16 Yep in one game. And then we also have a punt return. Like I was telling people we have two players that are the best at their position.
Eddie 00:38:24 I just read this to Turpin is the first guy to do this in like, 25 years or something like this to score on a kickoff, a punt return and have a 60 plus yard reception.
Eddie 00:38:37 Yeah, they hit. The last guy to do that was Hester.
Prescott 00:38:42 And and and Hester was like Turpin. He played wide receiver, but he hardly ever played.
Eddie 00:38:48 With Devin Hester. When he first started, he was a DB.
Prescott 00:38:52 He was he was a cornerback. Yeah, I remember that. He started as a cornerback.
Eddie 00:38:56 It was a DB and Miami, it was a badass too. And the bears just didn't need me. And they needed speed.
Prescott 00:39:01 And they decided to sign him as a kick returner. And then that was back when you couldn't justify, having just a kick returner. Yeah. And so they tried him out at wide receiver like, man, we got to get him because he he sucked as a cornerback. He was terrible. And so they tried him out at wide receiver because back then they couldn't justify a just a kick returner.
Eddie 00:39:23 Well that's another thing that just reminded me of when you said, you know, just a kick returner. I started thinking of just a and I thought of Trent Sieg, our snapper.
Eddie 00:39:34 Yeah.
Eddie 00:39:35 And the fact that the Dan Quinn said, this guy's a weak motherfucker, and we need to drive through him and block the kick. They did it three times, bro.
Prescott 00:39:46 Three times? Yeah. On the same side, it's always the same side. They block right up the middle.
Eddie 00:39:50 It's not on the outside. It's right through him. And he can't do it. And I know I was thinking, why does the NFL have a rule where you can't touch the snapper on a field goal, but you can touch them on a, on a on a on a punt? I don't get it. I don't get it. That makes sense.
Prescott 00:40:04 It is strange. But I do know about the the field goal because the way they do field goals, they can't get up fast enough to protect themselves. They'll always get put on there, but it's the same.
Eddie 00:40:14 So they're doing the same snap motion on a field goal as a punt.
Prescott 00:40:17 I thought so too, and I looked at that.
Prescott 00:40:19 But apparently you can protect yourself after you hike a punt, but you can't after a field goal.
Eddie 00:40:25 The mechanics. Shit.
Prescott 00:40:27 Yeah, and after that I read because I'm not. Because I remember you ask that in the discord, on on Sunday or Monday and I was and I was curious about that. I'm like, why is that? Because you figured it looks like the same hiking motion. Like you hike it the same way. Why is one protected and whatnot? But anyway.
Eddie 00:40:45 You don't you're not hiking it like like this. Like you think like they hike it like you're throwing a football, but upside down.
Prescott 00:40:51 Exactly.
Eddie 00:40:52 Yeah. So I it's the fact that they're, they're pointing straight down. They're doing it on the punt too. It's not like you're snapping it like this. It's just doesn't make sense.
Prescott 00:41:02 They're both are are hiked with two hands. whenever you're doing it, both of them are two hands whenever they hike it, like on a regular.
Eddie 00:41:11 I'm on a lobby.
Prescott 00:41:12 On a regular snap.
Prescott 00:41:13 It's always one hand and that's why. And and they're already kind of sitting up. But on that they're looking between their legs and it's weird. I don't know, man. Don't worry. We'll we'll we'll fix that.
Eddie 00:41:24 All right.
Eddie 00:41:25 We'll go. Yeah, but.
Prescott 00:41:27 We gotta win. Let's pencil us in for a win. Everybody, y'all have a happy Thanksgiving. Eat some mac and cheese, some turkeys, some sweet potato casserole, some stuffing.
Eddie 00:41:37 Get food.
Prescott 00:41:38 Take a nap.
Eddie 00:41:39 Spend some time with your family. Enjoy it. Don't argue this week. Let's do this. Let's challenge our listeners and our viewers and you and me, because I know you and I both, you know, think alike a lot when it comes to, like, politically wise and things like that. We do potheads, cowboys and football.
Eddie 00:41:58 But it's just.
Eddie 00:42:00 When you get with your families this this year. Don't don't bring up politics and everything about it and just and and have that that ugly feeling inside. No, I mean just leave all the.
Prescott 00:42:13 Topics to the side, man.
Eddie 00:42:14 It is. And if you feel that and you see that shit coming in, don't feed it, like, cut it off. Just be like, hey, remember when this may bring some stupid shit up and be like, remember when you were dumb and you used to slide on that slip and slide and your and your shorts fell off and you slid bare ass all the way down there, and and we had to walk out, you know, just bring something stupid up like that. Yeah. Don't don't feed into this anger that, that all that all of us know is going to become. Enjoy your time.
Prescott 00:42:45 That's it. And like, always have fun and.
Eddie 00:42:49 You know.
Eddie 00:42:51 Love your kids. I said, don't get me angry when you go to bed. At peace out, bro. Have a good one. Enjoy it.
Intro 00:43:07 Yeah. Here we go. Yeah. Here we go. Yeah. Come on. Here we go. Yeah. Yeah. Cooper blue and I.
