Eddie 00:01:19  So I did when I, when I was at the mall the other day with my kids, we went over and talked to Santa, and I was talking to him about our pod and stuff and telling him about how, you know, what I really wanted for Christmas was the Cowboys win a Super Bowl next year. I mean, if you can do that for me, I know it's not going to happen this year, but and then, you know, we got to talk. And he was like, I heard you were you got a little partner over there.

Eddie 00:01:40  And I was like, yes, yeah. We I got a partner on my pod. And he said, has he been good? I was like, hey, here and there. Yeah, just like me. So I think he said he was going to send you something too. So I think you might have, you might have something under the tree from the pod.

Prescott 00:01:57  You've been you've been holding his back. I know you knew Santa. Well, I know him.

Eddie 00:02:03  When I tell him. That's when I grew up. Did your parents tell you that, Santa? Like he was the one that reported the Santa? That's what they told me. Like every mall, Santa was like his employee. Yeah, like. Like.

Eddie 00:03:05  I was telling my daughter about this the other day because she, my daughter likes to make fun of how old I am, and she's like, dad, back in the 1900s when you were younger.

Eddie 00:03:15  And I'm like, what? So we talk about the mall and like, I was like, yeah, your parents used to drop you off at the mall. And then it was you'd just be free for the whole day with friends, and you could and you could have like, ten bucks and you can eat, you can buy yourself something you get. And it was so fun. You just spent the whole day there. It was just an ad. You saw all your friends there, all of them.

Prescott 00:03:38  And don't go to the rich mall that had the movie theater attached to it. Like, man, you really could be there all day. And the spiral stuffed crust pizza man, I used to love that.

Eddie 00:03:47  Oh, you're telling me.

I'm telling you, when I read it, everything said every place he went when he came in, they were not good at beginning. By middle of the season, they were better. By the end of the season. They were really good. And it's played out exactly that way. At the beginning of the season, they were they weren't good until the season. They were okay. Now they're like a top five defense in the league like the last 3 or 4 games. Now it's like a pain in it.

Prescott 00:04:57  We have been playing semi terrible teams. But but when you throw in the Bengals, the Bengals have a top five offense leaving people with problems all year like the Bengals.

Eddie 00:05:07  But even the Panthers, the Panthers have been giving people trouble in the last half of the year.

Prescott 00:05:12  So Chiefs in the Eagles when they gave them all they can handle it. They should have beat the Eagles. If Leggett hadn't dropped that pass they would have beat him. And he was wide open. So man. So that's I give them a push to the side because they suck. But they they stop. Like you hold the the Bengals to 20 points which no one has been able to do all year. That's pretty good. And they had everyone. It wasn't like you know, Chase was out or whatever. They held them. They legit held them. And we should have won that game. They held the pencil. But we'll see against the Buccaneers because they're a legit offense.

Eddie 00:05:47  We didn't hold Chase. Did you say we held Chase.

Eddie 00:05:48  We held Chase.

Prescott 00:05:49  Well we held.

Eddie 00:05:50  We held them. Do we held them to we held them to under 15 catches and under 200 yards or so. Yeah, I think they had.

Prescott 00:05:59  One of those, one of those things where, hey, this guy can kill us, we're going to hold, you know, there are two offenses. I mean, two defense you can do. When I was in basketball, we would be like, you know what? We're going to let that one guy score 40 and hold everybody else, or we're going to hold him and let everybody else beat us. In this case, they're like, we're going to hold everybody else and let Chase be this.

Eddie 00:06:21  That's that's the old, get your plan in Chicago Bulls defense. You know, Jordan's going to score, but you just got to hold everybody under. If you hold.

Prescott 00:06:30  Everybody else in check, we have a good chance of winning. Let Jordan get his 4050, take 75 shots. And so that's what we did with Chase.

Prescott 00:06:38  And it almost worked it well. It should have worked. It did work.

Eddie 00:06:41  Almost. But without the just the brain farts here and there. Joe Burrow could be sitting there at home right now going, I can't believe I lost to the Cowboys. I can't believe Burrow's been.

Prescott 00:06:53  Putting up MVP type numbers this year. It's just that his defense is so bad. Like picture our defense the first five games, except their defense has been doing that all year. Like they haven't had a game where they're like finally a good defensive game. They've been getting killed all year.

Eddie 00:07:10  Well also I did I hadn't noticed this, but they put up that stat that the the Cincinnati Bengals, since Joe Burrow is drafted, have had the 32nd average rushing attack in the league every single year.

Prescott 00:07:26  So it's.

Eddie 00:07:27  Weird that shit.

Eddie 00:07:31  But that's because they only had him. I think most teams have two running backs. At least get some, you know what I mean? Yeah. So that's funny.

Prescott 00:07:39  If we can cut out the brain farts we have every game, you'd be sitting pretty, like against the Panthers, where, first rush fumbled and it seemed like he dove in slow motion to get it, like he saw it. He the first person saw the fumble, but he's like, he was the last person to react to it like, oh shoot, I can pick that up. And by that time the guy already fell on it.

Eddie 00:07:59  You're talking about the other one where he put the ball in the first one, right?

Prescott 00:08:02  Right, right before the half. And then the very first Panthers play was the the deep shot. And the guy got an 83 yard touchdown.

Eddie 00:08:09  Yeah. so.

Prescott 00:08:10  Frustrated we can get rid of those brain farts. We'll be all right.

Eddie 00:08:13  Those are all. Those are like the stupid, lining up offsides, penalties and all that stupid shit. Like, you're just like. Come on. Slow down. Think about what you're doing. Yeah.

Prescott 00:08:28  Also, if they had a better quarterback, that game would have been a lot closer because Bryce Young missed some throws.

Prescott 00:08:33  Like, for instance, on the on on on the interception. McCoy had that was a terrible throw. Man this guy was wide open running up the seam. Like if we had a Dak that couldn't hit that for a touchdown. He threw it behind the guy. Like if he's running this way he threw it behind the guy. And that's how McCoy got the interception. 70s. Such a bad though. It was an easy interception.

Eddie 00:08:56  You're telling me, bro, I've been saying, you know, he's a he's A57 middle school quarterback and I mean the the discord and I mean even br. But he's blowing up on Bryce Young. Prescott 00:10:35  Man, you know who I liked even though he's paid to do it? I like what, what what? Lamb did this game only because I was one of those people who was talking noise about him. Because it seemed like he would check out sometimes, like if he wasn't in it, like he couldn't hype himself up to get better. Like, you know what? Forget this. I'm gonna. I'm gonna start playing better. Like, if he's not in it, he's done. But ever since he had one bad game where his body language was terrible. It's like he came back and, like, you know what? Forget that I'm a professional. I get paid a lot of money. I'm gonna play like I get paid. And he's been, like, all world like. Like he's been showing. I always call Justin Jefferson quarterback proof because no matter who's the quarterback he's going to produce.

Prescott 00:11:18  And lamb has been playing like that. Yeah. And so he he's my guy. But but you're right Hoffman. He did jump off the screen at me too much. He did too man. Massey was was pretty nice too.

Eddie 00:11:29  That moxie looked nice. There was the only reason why I don't I mean, moxie has a lot to prove to a lot of us.

Prescott 00:11:37  He does.

Eddie 00:11:37  And, but, I did see one, baldy. you know how he does that breakdown? I was one this one was like a funny one. Like he's like, you got to see this one. And he does this when it looked like he was tiptoeing around Legos like you guys. Yeah, I'll send it to you because he, like, hits. He stands up, and then he. It was like a tackle end where the end shoots and the. And the tackle goes around. He started dancing around. It looked like he was tiptoeing around the line. It was really funny. But yeah he's been he's been working hard and I like to see his growth.

Eddie 00:12:17  I like to see, it would be nice if we, if we knew that we could bring Ozzy back, but we both know that he he priced himself out. That motherfucker is.

Prescott 00:12:26  Good. I feel so good in my heart because I was talking about extending him in, like, the first two, three games of the season, like, I'm like, about in the offseason.

Eddie 00:12:35  We got to sell him.

Prescott 00:12:37  It was two things that I said, two people I said we should sign before they blow up because I had a feeling they would and it was him and Dowdell. So I feel so vindicated because I was like, we need to because that wasn't anything. The first three game, because they were still trying to force Zeke down our throats. So that wasn't Dowdall at that point. It also wasn't playing like, oh, say, at that point.

Eddie 00:12:56  Did you, by chance, by a record out of Jersey this, this offseason before the season started? I think somebody did. Did somebody did somebody.

Prescott 00:13:08  Said a lunatic and did that.

Eddie 00:13:11  Somebody said, Rico Del is going to be a bad ass in this league, even if he hasn't shown it. And then he just said, you know what, I'm gonna get that jersey because it was really inexpensive. All of a sudden, Rico Suave.

Prescott 00:13:25  I drafted him in my fantasy leagues. I picked him up in almost all my leagues so early.

Eddie 00:13:30  Like, a lot, a lot of people try to do it a little early when we knew that Zeke was in there, and then he didn't really do anything because we weren't running the ball. Nothing. And now now that he's running the ball, he's probably not.

Prescott 00:13:41  Available. Good. I liked him well. And another good thing I liked about this game was, our offensive line. Someone I read somewhere, it said, this is like our 10th offensive line combination. We only had what we're we're at like game 12 or 13 and this is our 10th offensive line combination. I'm telling you that's what they said.

Prescott 00:14:03  How many?

Eddie 00:14:04  Think about it. Offensive line. Think of a nation. And I mean, we've only had one change in center for two games. Our tackle has changed 2 or 3 times differently.

Prescott 00:14:20  Man.

Eddie 00:14:21  Zach has been out, man. Zack has been out. For how many games is Zack been out? Three games now.

Prescott 00:14:29  Sounds about right.

Eddie 00:14:31  But before then, it wasn't like he was in and out. So I don't think that there's been ten separate con.

Prescott 00:14:42  that's what I think, man. When it comes to combinations, how they do it. Because. Because people have moved around too. Because, you know, Tyler Smith played left tackle and left guard. I think Beebe played guard one time.

Eddie 00:14:53  Smith didn't play. Smith hasn't played left tackle yet. They haven't moved.

Prescott 00:14:58  He played for a little bit. I mean, I promise I thought I saw him because we had tackled the game when we said Guyton.

Prescott 00:15:33  Have right now. They've been modeling in the in the in the run game.

Eddie 00:15:37  Telling you bro every single time. Every single time. We have a combination of Hoffman Tyler Smith and bass no matter where they are. That is a strong ass interior line. However, you put the man I love.

Prescott 00:15:55  Man, I love watching Hoffman play. And he's just a butthole man. Like, he really.

Eddie 00:15:59  He's like, he. He really is the dream on of of the NFL right now. Because you do watch him. He's like he like he's making that block. And then he just keeps his arm out with a big smile. And then like he just he knows he's getting under their skin and he knows it's it's working too.

Eddie 00:16:19  Yep. Because that that that New York Giants nose nose tackle he was under his skin and he got him out of his game. It was crazy.

Prescott 00:16:27  All right I found it where it said it. So they were talking about how good good they're being. Over the past four weeks they've played the commanders Giants Bengals and Panthers. it's in the last four weeks that followed in the four weeks that. So two weeks one through 11. The rushing attack was 17th in the four weeks that followed it, it jumped all the way to fourth. Yeah. Now it could be because they played the commanders, Giants, Bengals and Panthers. and then it says it's worse. I just read it. there it is. Overall, there have been 11 different combinations of lineman in Dallas. That's still the fire that started on Sunday.

Eddie 00:17:08  I wrote it. I mean, figure it out. Look, think about it. But it's probably on there. Don't just move.

Prescott 00:17:16  Only two were starters in week one. That's a good chance. Only one, Tyler Smith, the left guard, will be at his same starting position in 2025.

Eddie 00:17:24  Well, the other there was three games ago where it was just Terrence Steele that was the starter and everybody else was different.

Prescott 00:17:30  Yeah. Yeah. And everybody else is. Yeah. So I don't know where he gets that number from, but it says, overall there have been 11 different combinations. So you know what I'm saying about the whole, what about our offensive line that that whole combination of ten, 11, whatever. I believe it, but I like this combination. Like they're more nasty. They might not be as skilled as like if if you're picking them, if you're lining them up, you're like, yeah, I want Guyton, I want Tyler Smith, but not right now. I want the players that are mauling and making holes and, and and Uncle Rico just taking advantage of it all. He's killing it.

Eddie 00:18:09  And sometimes, like, what really blew my mind when I was younger was watching the NBA All-Star game and how hard it was for them to score points against each other and I.

Eddie 00:18:22  And then when the Olympics happened and the NBA players went that, that just reinforced that, knowing that it's not about it's not the best players on the field at all times. It's the best five players that can play with each other. Yeah, right. Like so sometimes these guys might not be the best player, but they, they when they hook up with somebody right next to them, they're, they elevate their game and they make their game better too. It's just like this combination the way they are right now. They're winning the the the line of scrimmage every day.

Prescott 00:18:56  Perfect example of that is when LeBron joined the Miami Heat. You figured, oh three stars. They're gonna win every single game. They they were terrible in the beginning because they didn't know how to play with each other. And then when they tweaked the lineup put Shane Battier in there. Shane Battier is one of those players that are like Jack of all trades. He's he's not great.

Eddie 00:19:15  Rebounder, three.

Prescott 00:19:16  Pointer. He's good at everything.

Prescott 00:19:18  And then they had, Mario Chalmers and then Ray Allen. And then that's when they was like, now we're good. Same thing with Whenever you go to a team, you can't have five Steph Curry's or you can't have five KD lamps. You know, you need somebody that can, you know, or you can't have five Zach Martin. But it'd be nice if you had five Zach Martin. But you need somebody that's a mauler. Somebody who's nimble feet can handle the speed, the power, all of that.

Eddie 00:19:43  So when maybe they get along with each other to.

Prescott 00:19:46  Exactly what they like each other. Like our 2016 line with Zeke, and then the 2014 line with DeMarco Murray. Man, that 2014 line was just ridiculously good.

Eddie 00:20:00  And free they had oh, they it's just, it's like they had something to play for. You know, they have a common goal. I mean, anything that you do that they were one unit when you get together.

Eddie 00:20:15  If one if the team has a set goal together, then it's a lot better than, you know, a bunch of people trying to do their individual goals. And so that work.

Eddie 00:20:40  for the first half of the game, Tolbert ran, sprints again. And.

Eddie 00:20:47  The Cardio King, which is crazy to me. what else did I not like? I mean, we we kept them in the game. We could have really beat them down, and we kind of, like, let off the gas a little bit. Dumb mistake if we can. Yeah, it's the dumb mistakes and not continuing with the run game at all times. It's like you don't need to get KD the ball all the time.

Prescott 00:21:11  Yeah you don't. He's forced you to him.

Eddie 00:21:13  Even if you did run the ball two times in a row you don't have to throw the ball on the third play.

Prescott 00:21:18  You can run it again.

Eddie 00:21:19  I know you get into that. You get into the habit. Right? It's almost like the when you're taking a test and you're like, be this one's be three.

Prescott 00:21:26  You're like, this can't be me. Yeah, yeah.

Eddie 00:21:29  You know, but sometimes you got to run the ball again. You got and we just got to get into it like that. And it's just you can't. We can't get into a first down run the ball second down throw the ball. So it's third down. If it's short run it or if it's long past. I mean, it's just it's it makes it's easy to to coach against teams like that when they get caught up like that.
