Intro 00:00:05  Here I come. Here we go. Here I come, here we go. Here I come. Here we go. Yeah. Yeah. When I fall through a lot.

Intro 00:00:16  Do not lie. Cause how you walkin with a lion. Got me feeling like Mike I've been known to wear the team on my back like a biker. Shorty wanna be with a star. But you lucky if I invite you. We can take it to the next spot. They yellin like red sky. Everybody like there ain't no brakes, no rest stop. We tryna get your head chopped. The whole club yellin everybody.

Prescott 00:00:37  Here we go, here we go. Victory Formation podcast. I'm Prescott. That is Eddie. Eddie, say what I say. What's up to the people?

Eddie 00:00:45  What's up, ladies and gentlemen, we've been, It's been a couple days since we talked. We're ready to talk a little bit about some cowboys. Talk a little bit about the NFL. Got to talk about.

Prescott 00:00:59  Lots to talk about.

Eddie 00:01:01  Talk about this dirty trial.

Eddie 00:01:03  No, we're not gonna talk about that.

Prescott 00:01:05  I'm about to say, man, kids, my kids might be watching this.

Eddie 00:01:10  You see that? He brought all his kids. There were kids in the in the.

Prescott 00:01:14  It's insane. I know. Why? Why would he want Cassie to be saying all that stuff in front of his kids? But I guess he already told them. Or they. They might already know. Who knows? anyway.

Eddie 00:01:25  I think, I think people bring the other kids in for, to get the sympathy.

Prescott 00:01:30  Yeah. My sympathy. Yeah. Yeah. Stupid. Please don't send me to jail. I have kids like they can.

Eddie 00:01:35  Come.

Prescott 00:01:36  See you in jail. Because he definitely going to jail.

Eddie 00:01:40  Shit.

Prescott 00:01:40  That's crazy.

Eddie 00:01:42  He left. He left? Yeah.

Prescott 00:01:44  But that's what happened when you don't have those, high quality products that that you can use.

Eddie 00:01:50  When you don't have your baby oil. I'm putting on you.

Prescott 00:01:54  Man.

Eddie 00:01:55  Anyway, so we got a little bit of an agenda today.

Eddie 00:01:59  Not too much. It's been kind of a slower week, but we're we're grinding, right. We're getting to, the.

Prescott 00:02:05  We got some, some, some steady news. No, no big news since the Pickens trade. But we got some steady news.

Eddie 00:02:13  But the that that is really big news. I know that it's been a little bit since that happened, but the last time we talked, it hadn't happened yet. Man, it happened the day after. we will talk about the the magic Pickens trade, but, the first thing to talk a little bit about is something that happened, I think it was yesterday or the day before yesterday was the the leak of some of the scheduled games. And, they did, release that, we we will be opening up against the Super Bowl champions on that Thursday night, NFL opener, just like we did with the Bucs a couple of years ago.

Prescott 00:02:52  Hey, they can hate on us all we want, but the Cowboys live rent free in everybody's head.

Prescott 00:02:58  Man. Man, this is how we are. We were third in the division, finished with a losing record. Quarterback hurt. Didn't even make the playoffs. But you know the NFL said man we gotta pay some bills. Put the Cowboys on first game of the season so we can get I's eyes on the prize because they know we live rent free. People like every time. Yeah, I'm telling you because like I, I troll a lot of Philadelphia eagles.

Eddie 00:03:27  Oh no way.

Prescott 00:03:28  I don't follow any of them, but for some reason they show up on my page or the Cowboys people I follow, they will comment on this stuff. And I'm like, and so whenever they put something like, oh God, boy, suck, they haven't won in so long, I'm like, you know what? I challenge you, I challenge you. Don't put any Cowboys related news on your page for 30 days and see how much. See how much. Yeah, and see how much interaction you get. See how many likes and comments and shares you get.

Prescott 00:03:58  Just just talk about your team. The Eagles just do that and let's see how you do. And none of them will take me up on it.

Eddie 00:04:05  Yeah I guess that's that's a, that's a perfect, challenge for, for one of them because.

Prescott 00:04:10  They do it all the time.

Eddie 00:04:12  And and you know what? I'm, you know, I'm realizing, you know, we we talked about we've we've really dug into how media has picked up on your going. It's easy to make money off the Cowboys no matter what.

Prescott 00:04:26  Just go.

Eddie 00:04:27  Yeah. Do something. Say something. Right. And you know, I was scrolling through TikTok the other day and I was coming through lives, right? And I stopped on this one guy's live, and I don't want to get political, but, I mean, he had a Maga hat on, and he he wasn't even looking at the at the camera anymore. He's just sitting there live with his MAGA hat on and a picture of Trump behind him. And he was just, you know, like probably scrolling through his phone doing stuff, and he just kept saying, all right, man, keep hating on me.

Eddie 00:04:57  And like, he just he was making money. Yeah, off of that hat. And the hate people were logging on and going, oh my God, I hate you in this. Like getting all their feelings out and he's just making money just sitting there, just allowing people to do that. It was crazy.

Prescott 00:05:12  Is he probably not even a mega person? He's probably not even a mega person.

Eddie 00:05:15  That's exactly what.

Prescott 00:05:16  I.

Eddie 00:05:16  Was thinking was like, he's like, how can I make some money? I'll throw a Maga hat on and say that I'm a Trumper, and people are just going to hate on me, and they'll interact with me because they want to put me in my place. And that's all this is. I mean.

Prescott 00:05:30  That's how wild I'm telling you. The Cowboys live rent free. I talked about this with a couple people, men Dan Ruppert and Matt Owen.

Eddie 00:05:39  I saw that thread, bro.

Prescott 00:05:40  That was we were talking. We were talking about it like so. So this is this is how amazing the Cowboys are.

Prescott 00:05:46  So Jaylon Smith the linebacker from Notre Dame tore his knee up. You know he started off with us, then he went to the Giants. Then he went to, green Bay. The Raiders.

Eddie 00:05:59  Green with the green Bay. First green Bay. First we.

Prescott 00:06:01  Were first. Then he went to the Raiders. So that's it was three teams between us. So he's he's about to resign. Like the last team he played for was the Raiders. Then he like dropped off. Then he didn't play last year. Now he's about to resign with the Raiders. So he's about to resign with the Raiders. He last played with the Raiders. But the headline said former cowboy linebacker resigning with the Raiders. And they put a picture of him in the cowboy. And this was a it wasn't like some random guy tweeting. It was like a a national news tweet site. So they put him in a Cowboys jersey saying former Cowboys player resigning with the Raiders to a two second search will bring up several pictures of him in a Raiders jersey.

Prescott 00:06:47  Like it wasn't hard to find one. And they And I'm like, man. So they any former Cowboys player, if they played for six teams, they will say former Cowboys player. And he could have played four teams ago for the Cowboys. Kind of like Jaylon Smith. That was the first team he played with. He's played for three teams since. But they say former Cowboys player while him and his Cowboys jersey and that just I'm like man we just bring in the numbers man. Y'all can hate all y'all want. But we bring in the numbers 100%.

Eddie 00:07:16  It's like you that that that's funny that you that she brought that up or whoever brought that up is like a 15 second Google search will show you all of the the jerseys that he's played for before. Yeah. But obviously it takes it's going to get clicks because people are going to say, oh, oh the Cowboys lost somebody. It doesn't even matter who it is. They didn't even need to.

Prescott 00:07:38  Tell you, man. I'm telling you, some of these eagles, man.

Prescott 00:07:41  Some of these eagle content creators, people like shady McCoy out, out. I don't think like they they can't even climax unless they're saying Dak Prescott or Dallas Cowboys like right before like oh that Dak Prescott like that's how I'm telling you. That's that's how they feel. They have to say it. And the producer is like yeah yeah. Say the Cowboys say the dumbest thing you can think about the Cowboys because that's how we get paid. We check it out. The Cowboys create jobs. Remember that the Cowboys create jobs.

Eddie 00:08:12  This is what you were talking about right here right. Look at that.

Prescott 00:08:15  That's it. Look at Adam Schefter. This is the exact same one Schefter.

Eddie 00:08:19  You're big bro. You don't need these clicks.

Prescott 00:08:22  The Raiders are signing former Cowboys. Oh at least he did say say the Giants I forgot about that. But but he played for the the Packers and the Raiders more recently. Why would he put the Cowboys.

Eddie 00:08:35  Yeah. Why don't you just say Raiders is resigning former player former Raiders.

Eddie 00:08:43  Yeah.

Prescott 00:08:44  Former Raider is returning to team and then, like you said.

Eddie 00:08:49  Taking the same locker in the same jersey that he played with, you know, 11 months ago. Give me a break for that. That's great. I'm glad that you kind of picked up on that because that was it's it's ridiculous.

Prescott 00:09:01  And and and and and I just put it in like you said I typed in Jaylen Smith Raiders all these all these photos of him in inner Raiders in a in a Raiders.

Eddie 00:09:14  It's like hey.

Prescott 00:09:15  Man he played for the Saints too I didn't realize that.

Eddie 00:09:18  Well dude I didn't even think yeah.

Prescott 00:09:20  Yeah he played for the Saints man. That's crazy. He played for a lot of teams.

Eddie 00:09:23  Something like that. So it was like my, my dad used to always say, the, head or what? What is that? Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Right?

Prescott 00:09:34  So it is, man.

Eddie 00:09:35  So, like, if you're going to be a Dallas Cowboy or a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, you're just going to need to know that people are going to shit on this because they don't.

Eddie 00:09:42  They want to keep us down. They don't want us winning because that's just the.

Prescott 00:09:45  Way my favorite thing they do is they create narratives about us. Like they love to say.

Eddie 00:09:51  Oh really?

Prescott 00:09:52  Cowboys fan, is it your year? Is it your year again? Like you always say. So we're we're in a Cowboys discord. Nobody in it. And all of us are diehard Cowboys fan. I've never heard I've been in there for years. I've never heard anybody say, seriously, this is our year. Like, we'll say it tongue in cheek to make fun of people who say we say it, but to each other we never say, you know what this is like? We'll we'll be realistic. Like, man, I think this is a ten win team. I think we can actually win a play. Like we'll be realistic. We never say seriously, oh, we're winning the Super Bowl this year. But people swear that they do because they find the one idiot Cowboys fan that has tattoos of cowboy players and numbers all over his body.

Prescott 00:10:35  They'll find that one guy and somehow he represents all of us.

Eddie 00:10:38  It's not like, And that's how like the the Longhorn fans in our discord are. Oh shut up! Shut up! Troy! Shut up! Shut! Shut up! Moss. You guys know or. And the same thing with. I mean, same thing with our boy. Payton. Shut up.

Prescott 00:10:57  Oh, with. With the.

Eddie 00:10:57  Razorbacks.

Prescott 00:10:58  Oh, man.

Eddie 00:10:59  Hey.

Prescott 00:10:59  Our college team. Hey, I'm. I'm the same way with LSU. I'm like, man, forget Arkansas. Yeah. Get Texas.

Eddie 00:11:07  But you're. But you're not telling us like, oh, dude, Arkansas is going to win this, this great, this grade point average, spelling bee this weekend. they're going to tear. They're going to tear them up. I'm like.

Prescott 00:11:19  Hey, we're going to win the Carl's Junior Bowl. That's what he's saying, man. I mean.

Eddie 00:11:24  But hey, off going off of the same, like that leak.

Eddie 00:11:28  we also got notified that of the. Oh, I think there's seven of them. Yeah. The the the international games that were scheduled this year.

Prescott 00:11:36  Yep.

Eddie 00:11:37  And we.

Prescott 00:11:37  Have zero. That's good.

Eddie 00:11:38  God, we don't have one. I'm glad. My my thoughts on the you know. I want to give you some time to think about this, but my thoughts on the international game is it is a distraction for the players and the coaches and the coaches, families and the coaches and the players families. And I understand that it's great that we're kind of, breaking open, you know, a whole nother fans get to see their favorite players that they've never been able to see before. That's awesome. But this is an American game. It's played in the US. Come to the US and watch football. That's where we are. Or we'll do like maybe every once in a while we can do like an exhibition out there or something. But to to have 14 teams affected in the middle of their season, that's weird.

Eddie 00:12:24  You don't go fly to, you know, Germany and be and still have the same practice, practices before and after, like the next game is affected, the game before is affected.

Prescott 00:12:37  It's just and it's actually only 13 teams because the Vikings are playing two games like they're playing in London and then they're flying to another country to play the next week. So it's like two weeks in a row. They're playing.

Eddie 00:12:46  A team. Did that last year was it was like the Texans or something.

Prescott 00:12:49  No no no. the the Jaguars stayed in London and played twice. Yeah.

Eddie 00:12:55  At least.

Prescott 00:12:55  But but they're playing in two different countries because they're playing somewhere else and then flying to London to play in the next week. So that's the first time somebody's doing that. But that's like playing in two countries back to back.

Eddie 00:13:06  I'm just glad that we didn't do that.

Prescott 00:13:08  It's just man, I'm.

Eddie 00:13:09  It's.

Prescott 00:13:09  I'm 100% with you. Even though the last time we played was a great game. That was the Dez Bryant game when we played the Jaguars.

Prescott 00:13:17  And he went crazy on him. Scored three touchdowns.

Eddie 00:13:20  In.

Prescott 00:13:20  London. Yeah yeah yeah that that was in London when when when Dez Bryant went crazy.

Eddie 00:13:25  It must have been like.

Prescott 00:13:25  2 or 3 touchdowns. Yeah that was a long time.

Eddie 00:13:29  Speaking of Dez speaking of Dez. there there was a some pretty big news that came out the day after our last thought. It was actually in the morning. I don't know how. Early morning.

Prescott 00:13:43  4:00 in the morning.

Eddie 00:13:45  At four in the morning. And I'm like, I'm literally I'm, I'm a I'm a heavy sleeper, except for with my phone when my phone comes because I'm always worried. You know, it's like.

Prescott 00:13:53  Because I texted him early in the morning, he'll be like, man, stop texting because he's two hours. He's like, stop texting me at 5:00 in the morning, hear nothing.

Eddie 00:14:00  Or in the morning I get the we get we all get our notifications. Dallas Cowboys have traded for George Pickens.

Prescott 00:14:10  So what was your initial reaction like I'm talking about three seconds after reading that.

Prescott 00:14:13  What'd you think.

Eddie 00:14:14  My, my my first reaction was, oh my God, what time is it? It's 4:00 in the morning. Is this real? Because we had talked about the night before. We talked about KD sending that tweet where he's waving back at him with The Simpsons.

Prescott 00:14:26  Yeah. The Simpsons guy.

Eddie 00:14:28  So it was it wasn't out of the blue in our minds with the discord. I mean we were talking about it and we're we didn't really think it was going to happen. It was a it.

Prescott 00:14:36  Had been rumored for a while. So it wasn't like out of the blue. Kind of like Amari, like Amari was out of the blue. But this one had been rumored for a while.

Eddie 00:14:43  But I'll be honest with you, the first the first reaction that I got was was thank God that we did something. We just did something like, there's presents under the fucking tree this year, you know what I mean? Like, that's what I'm thinking.

Prescott 00:14:57  And it's not socks and underwear because that's what we were buying.

Prescott 00:15:00  We would we, we were buying socks and underwear with those like very end of the line players like Henry Milton's and all those guys like that. We never did any blue chippers. And so it was like me, the first thing I thought was, please don't have given up a first round draft pick. That was the first thing I thought, well, please. Like, what did we give up? What did we give up? So when I saw the third, I was like, oh yes, okay, I'm 100% because I think he's good enough. Like, like I think he can be a, you know, like how they had, Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce, like, I think they can they can have that type of Combination where it's not. We have a one of a wide receiver one and wide receiver two. Like they both can be one A, one B like I think about that.

Eddie 00:15:45  Oh absolutely. I'm really. But on the on the other hand they are exactly the same player.

Eddie 00:15:53  Like down to the stat. Not not so much stats but down to like inches every every aspect. When you compare them they're they're exact same player except for KD plays over in the middle and Pickens does not like to go over the middle. And that's perfectly fine because we have an offense that's not going to require him to go over the middle. so all we need to do is have him stretch and have him make all these wild catches that he's making. I think it's going to be amazing. Thank God we pulled the trigger on this. Thank you. Jerry.

Prescott 00:16:22  Oh, man.

Eddie 00:16:23  Thank you. Our front office for believing in this team and the players enough to not only, you know, invest the time and effort into this, but actually invest money because I really I mean, this is my first shout out to the front office. I think that they.

Prescott 00:16:41  In a.

Eddie 00:16:41  While, night and day and last month, last year nine.

Prescott 00:16:43  Day like man I was I was 100% on board with them signing like Keenan Allen or what's the other guy? I was was a free agent.

Prescott 00:16:53  yeah. So I, I would have been okay with them signing either one of them. I'm even more ecstatic about this only because last year our number two was Brandin Cooks. Good wide receiver. I was glad when we signed him. I was glad when he he always had that for some reason like he would he would only score on a touchdown where he's like running down the middle. And then he ran to the corner pylon and Dak would hit him. For some reason it seemed like he only scored on that one. But he wasn't like a true outside. He was too small. So I was like so so they they made lamb play more on the outside when he was way more deadly in the slot now with this guy. And we haven't even talked about Mingo who and and they'll back me up in the discord even before we got Pickens. I said, watch Mingo move up and take over that second wide receiver slot that people aren't talking about it. But I said that by fourth game of the season, somewhere around there he would be the number two wide receiver.

Prescott 00:17:49  And this is before the Pickens trade, naturally. So I think he'd be even more valuable because he can be a number two. But now he can be a highly sought after number three in the event we have a ding up where oh, see, he got an ankle sprain and he's and he's limited in the game against whoever the Rams are now Mingo can step in. Pickens could be one and Mingo could be two. And we don't have a severe drop off like we used to.

Eddie 00:18:14  Well, think about it. Like now say we got we we got Pickens last year, the year before last. It wouldn't have been as valuable, I think, as it, as it is to us today because the way that our offense is going, I just think that it would just been lost. Like, I know where we're trying to establish a running game, we're trying to establish we are going to run this ball over your ass, and there's nothing that you can do to stop us. But check this out.

Eddie 00:18:49  We also have these two wide receivers that are that are going to whoop your ass all day long, too. So now I think our offense is just so valuable because we will have a running game. Last year we had Pickens and KD. I mean, it would it would just be, oh, we're going to throw the ball.

Prescott 00:19:06  We're throwing two things about two things about that one, they showed the numbers. Pickens is a top five blocking wide receiver top five blocking wide receiver in the NFL. Mingo was an excellent blocking wide receiver in NFL. CeeDee lamb. He's not top his game, but he is above average blocking in the run game. So that's three wide receivers who we don't have to tip our hand to where whenever we used to bring, you know, like back in the day, we used to bring in Noah Brown and everybody knew, oh, this is a run play. Noah Brown only comes in the block for the run.

Eddie 00:19:39  So last year, last year was a lot when when we had Jaylen Tolbert outside yeah yeah we knew it.

Prescott 00:19:46  When he come in we knew was going to be a run.

Eddie 00:19:47  Play two tight ends. It was going to be a run. Here we go.

Prescott 00:19:50  So yeah man I'm telling you that that was. And then second thing is we didn't do a lot of it. But Dak is an excellent play action pass. Yeah. Especially on the seam routes. Like like I think that's nipples get super hard whenever he sees Ferguson running down the seam like like he immediately gets a chubby because that's the pass he likes to throw. What makes it even more effective is if we have a running game that makes you don't even have. They don't even have to commit, just as long as they hesitate for a second. Think about it for a second. That same route, a slant or whatever is going to just be crazy. And now we have three players that caught 50 balls last year. I saw the stat today. Oh that's crazy lamb George Pickens and the X Factor Javonte Williams. He caught 50 something balls last year.

Eddie 00:20:46  And so we have we have a and we got a sweet ass tight end that's going to work well.

Prescott 00:20:50  And our focus is back. Who's playing on a contract year. Who wants to get paid.

Eddie 00:20:55  Oh man Jaden Blew or Jalen.

Prescott 00:20:58  Oh man.

Eddie 00:20:59  That's he's one.

Prescott 00:20:59  Of the best.

Eddie 00:21:00  Games. Even one of the best receiving backs in the game. Not just for not just screens. I was watching a whole thing on somebody would put a like a bunch of highlights of his.

Prescott 00:21:11  They had him running wide receiver routes.

Eddie 00:21:13  Yeah, dude, he's out there. He's out there in the spread and he and.

Prescott 00:21:16  He's they had him running a wide receiver routes I saw that.

Eddie 00:21:19  I'm loving that. That's kind of what I thought that we were going to kind of use Pollard a little bit like that when Zeke was actually a running back and Pollard. Pollard was a receiver in college for like two years. So he was supposed to be like our big receiving back and like, open our offense up a lot.

Prescott 00:21:37  So we're not full of hot takes on this show. But this is my hot take and I'll take this to my grave. This is what I think when, you know, during the years when Schottenheimer was like the offensive coordinator. Quote unquote, to to Mike McCarthy. And it seemed like one game we would just be hitting on all cylinders on offense, and then the next game we wouldn't do any of the stuff we did last week that got us 40 points, and then we just started doing random stuff. It's like, this is a completely different offense. So me, this is my hot take. I really believe that in those games that we did great. Schottenheimer was in charge of the game plan that week, and he's the one that put it together. And then the next week, Mike McCarthy is like, you know what? I can do that let me take over this week. And that's why it looked like two completely different offenses.

Eddie 00:22:28  The head coach give me my.

Prescott 00:22:29  Yeah. And so I think like I, I really believe this.

Prescott 00:22:32  And the only reason I can come and say this because I said this last year before Schottenheimer even was a consideration for coach I, I was assuming that we we were going to get some big name. And so I was like, you know what? Last year I was saying this, I like I think Schottenheimer calling some of these games that Mike McCarthy comes behind him is like, nah, I'm gonna call this game. And that's why we look like we're like, this is two different teams. Like why they're not doing the same motion or whatever.

Eddie 00:22:57  Can you guys see the the foil on Prescott's head? Can you see, man, I'm telling you right now. No, I know.

Prescott 00:23:04  But that guy. Oh, man.

Eddie 00:23:05  I'm telling you, I think that's a valid that's a valid point that you make because it really does seem like that.

Prescott 00:23:12  That was like two coaches like like like, you know what? I'm I'll take it from here, you know, like like you talk your boy up to this girl like, man I'm telling you, man, he's he's he's cute man.

Prescott 00:23:24  He. He don't have no diseases. He'll take you to Cheesecake Factory. He smells good. And then you come in, and then you try to talk, and he's like, hey, what's up girl? You want anime? And then she just like, man, she's like, this is just two different people. Like man, like, put the first guy on. He was cool. Let me talk to him. And so like I'm like put put shorty back to calling plays. And now with the guy from Arizona doing it. Oh man.

Eddie 00:23:48  I think they're gonna work together. I think we did a good we have a good coaching staff that has a, a vision in mind of what this team needs to be. It's not a lame duck coach. It's like, I have no idea what's going to happen this next year. But like, so going back to Pickens and that trade in that trade not only boosted our offense, it probably increased dak's, you know, production by quite a bit.

Prescott 00:24:20  I think.

Eddie 00:24:20  So it's also going to affect other teams, other players on the on the squad that we have right now. Right. It's going to devalue a couple guys. I mean we're not going to need the Jalen.

Prescott 00:24:32  Oh man. I know.

Eddie 00:24:33  They need you know.

Prescott 00:24:35  I was a fan of Jalen Brooks. But like I think they keep Tolbert over him. Unless Jalen Brooks just goes off in preseason.

Eddie 00:24:41  I think so too I think they've spent a little bit more time and energy on Tolbert than they have with.

Prescott 00:24:47  Yeah, I think so too. Plus he has a plus. He has the the draft pick pedigree. He's a third round as opposed to undrafted free agent. True. And then he wasn't. And then he wasn't terrible that he was good. Like he had like eight touchdowns. So it wasn't like he was bad. Like you know he had one touchdown all season.

Eddie 00:25:03  It's like the that's a mandela effect I swear to God I don't I don't remember him scoring that many.

Prescott 00:25:08  Yeah yeah eight touchdowns last year.

Prescott 00:25:10  You showed me.

Eddie 00:25:10  He.

Prescott 00:25:10  Was.

Eddie 00:25:10  Pretty.

Prescott 00:25:12  Good.

Eddie 00:25:13  And then you know Pickens does bring baggage. Pickens brings a very. And I'm, I'm just saying this from my observation, he brings an immature, attitude of, you know, give me mine. Why aren't you giving me mine? And then if there's any dustup at all with anybody at all, it is a full out physical, interaction. I mean, you saw I was watching the highlights of that, the last play of the game last year against.

Prescott 00:25:53  Yeah, I know you're talking about. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Eddie 00:25:56  Fighting with the dude on the in the back of the end zone. I mean it's a.

Prescott 00:26:00  They have so many men. They have so many memes about that that like Zach just threw interception. Everybody's going that way and they just show some random fight. It's like this Pickens and the DB in the corner over there fighting. I'm like, but it was.

Eddie 00:26:12  Crazy. Like it was normal. Like football fight.

Eddie 00:26:15  It was like straight up like a fist fight. Oh yeah. So there's going to be on field drama and a lot of a lot of people. I mean, there's a lot of YouTubers and writers and cowboy writers that they didn't like the, the, the trade.

Prescott 00:26:31  They didn't.

Eddie 00:26:32  Like gays. They were being dramatic about things. I mean, I follow, RJ Ochoa and.

Prescott 00:26:38  Oh, man.

Eddie 00:26:39  He.

Prescott 00:26:39  Was.

Eddie 00:26:40  So bad. It was like, so bad. Like he couldn't even be happy about, like, this. It was. So a lot of people think that his he's going to come in and he's going to cause drama. He's going to cause that, you know, on that sideline, why don't you throw me my ball? Getting in fights with people and things like that.

Prescott 00:27:00  Yeah.

Prescott 00:27:01  It's to me it's going to be two things that he's going to be. Either he's going to come in and be great. Like when they decide, hey, we gotta take one of these guys out.

Prescott 00:27:12  I'm going to choose to take a lamb out and see if Pickens can beat us then, or it's going to be one of those Where he's going to see lamb is getting his glow up because because lamb produced even when Cooper Rush came in the game, he was still catching balls and producing. And so he's going to be like, man, I'm just as good as a lamb. Why does he have 79 catches for 1200 yards so far. And I'm only at 42 catches for 600 yards. And I'm just as good as him. Like will that play into it to where he starts pouting and like I just do you know how they try to get the professional answer with a with pettiness? I just do what the coaches tell me to do. You know, like something like that.

Eddie 00:27:50  I think what it really boils down to is, you know, immaturity. Yeah, exactly.

Prescott 00:27:56  And will it change in a new setting?

Eddie 00:27:58  You know, we also he also is going to have a whole new environment around him.

Eddie 00:28:02  He's going to have new coaches, new new players, new leaders. It's a whole new locker room that might be able to hold him accountable to things like that. Pittsburgh I don't know what the locker room is like. You, I know people really like Tomlin. Really, really like him.

Prescott 00:28:20  I'm a Tomlin fan.

Eddie 00:28:22  I've seen the way that he talks to people. He doesn't talk to people nicely. He's not.

Prescott 00:28:27  Maybe he's like a you know like the the militaristic or the the tough love. Like not everybody responds.

Eddie 00:28:33  To that tough love guy. Yeah. And this guy might not respond to that. He might respond to.

Prescott 00:28:38  Does somebody put an arm around like, hey, man, look, God, we need you, man.

Eddie 00:28:42  Hands on guy. Like, yeah, he's going to know everything about your family. He's going to know your mom. He's going to he's going to call your family on holidays. This is a whole different type of coach, and this might be something that he needs.

Prescott 00:28:54  Hey, I've had an employee like that. To where? An employee where? He was very disgruntled. Good employee. Very good employee. Glad to have him on the team, but he's very disgruntled. But the person who was there before me and what I did different was I included him and stuff. Like, I just didn't tell him this is what needs to be done. You're going to do it. I'll be like, hey, how how would you do this? I incorporated him and stuff, and he ended up being very good for me because people came to me and was like, I don't know what you did with this guy, but I hated working with him. But now he's, you know, more worked with and and it's because I and maybe picking sister like that I have no idea. I don't know Pickens I don't know Tomlin. I'm just saying maybe Pickens might be one of those guys where instead of yelling at him, like, you're gonna do what I tell you to do my way or the highway, you can be like, hey, show me.

Prescott 00:29:36  Show me what you think you should do here. You know what? I. I like that idea, but how about if we incorporated that idea and mix in my idea, and then he feels like he's part of the game and he feels like he's contributing, and now he's more happy, and he. And. And it might be that way. Or he or he might just be a whole. He just don't know. But but we'll see. That's the fun of football. Yeah.

Eddie 00:29:57  What's cool about it is he he's a he's a free agent after this year right. Yeah. It it's a rental agreement really. And we're not I mean, I'm sure that with production, I'm sure, you know, there'll be talks of. Maybe we should resign him before the end of the year so that we're not having to play this free agency game.

Prescott 00:30:19  And. And if he leaves, we get a third round pick back. So we still get our pick back. Yeah.

Eddie 00:30:25  So what what I also want to say is I, I don't know, are you, there was a movie that I used to watch when I was younger.

Eddie 00:30:33  I think it's called Little Big League, where this guy, when he's younger, he inherits the Minnesota Twins. He's like.

Prescott 00:30:41  Oh yeah.

Prescott 00:30:42  Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Prescott 00:30:43  I've seen that.

Eddie 00:30:45  There's a point in the game, in this movie where one of the star pitchers or third baseman or whatever, maybe he was a pitcher. He just is. He's tired of playing on that team. He's picking him, right? He's he's, he's fighting with people. He's he's being aggressive. He's just being a clown on the team. And there was a point on the in a game where, the assistant manager said, man, yeah, maybe you not want to put him in there. He's upset today, you know. He's going to cause chaos or whatever. And, the the guy turns to the man, the younger man, and he's like, yeah, maybe you shouldn't put me in today because I think I might cause some chaos. And he's like. And the manager said something that I'll, I'll always remember as like a manager and stuff.

Eddie 00:31:29  He's like, he's like, go ahead and do that. You do what you need to do. And we're going to move on about how we do, and we'll see how many teams want to draft or pick up a free agent that acts like this and pouts and cries and, you know, as opposed to somebody that goes out there and busts their ass for seven months, you know? You know, that guy is probably going to get a bunch of free agent, opportunities. So it really goes down to how hard are you going to work this season in this interview of a whole season? You're interviewing for the league? We we have the inside track on you, and we might be able to sign you early, but you're you're playing for your second year, your second paycheck.

Prescott 00:32:10  Hopefully, hopefully his agent got through to him and said, hey, this is your trial. Like you can have and not play well and make $3 million next year, or you can play well and make $12 million next year.

Prescott 00:32:23  So it's really up to you how you want to play. And he has a team that can do it. He's going to be in an offense that will get him the ball. He's going to be the quarterback who knows how to pass the ball with hopefully a good run support game. That's going to leave him with more one on ones as opposed to being doubled.

Eddie 00:32:40  He was getting balls thrown to him by Kenny. Pick him arms and he can't pick it. And then last year he had with.

Prescott 00:32:48  Russell Wilson.

Eddie 00:32:49  Not not.

Prescott 00:32:49  Russell Wilson. Yeah it was Russell Russell the love muscle. Yeah.

Eddie 00:32:54  The other dude the other quarterback that they had that is on the Jets. Did they have Justin Fields.

Prescott 00:32:59  Fields. That's right. Fields man. Oh my god.

Eddie 00:33:02  Balls to him like all over the place.

Prescott 00:33:03  And he was making such spectacular catches. Not because he had he had to because the balls were so bad, that's the only way he could make the catch. That's terrible.

Eddie 00:33:12  So? So earlier, you just mentioned, agents, and I kind of groaned a little bit, and it's because I don't know if you heard the news, but our boy, our our our road grader.

Prescott 00:33:27  I the the original Tyler, the original Tyler, the he's the OT. He's the OT. It's what I call him.

Eddie 00:33:34  He chose he he changed agents. He changed his agent is now the same agent that Micah has. Right.

Prescott 00:33:42  And Dak.

Eddie 00:33:43  And Dak. So yeah we there's no there's the only other reason to change to change agents is because you're you're trying.

Prescott 00:33:53  To get paid. Trying to get paid. That's that's it. That's the only.

Eddie 00:33:57  Reason I don't. So we gotta we gotta sign Micah this year because we're not going to be signing him next year and trying.

Prescott 00:34:03  To sign him next year. We have to sign Micah this year because we at the time, Tyler Smith the year after.

Eddie 00:34:08  Yeah, exactly.

Prescott 00:34:09  We can't do it then and then depending on if if bland has anywhere close to the year he had when he broke the record. Oh, we gotta sign him too. Like, man, we.

Eddie 00:34:18  Have to sign bland. We're gonna release Diggs. Have to.

Prescott 00:34:21  Happen.

Prescott 00:34:22  I think I would do that, too.

Eddie 00:34:23  As long. As long as Siobhan is what he is, man like.

Prescott 00:34:27  As if. Because rebel can be another Diggs. I think he's closer to Diggs than he is to bland. But I think rebel is closer to Byron Jones. More of a shutdown corner as opposed to a ball hawk.

Eddie 00:34:39  Well, you know he started the year off with two interceptions and one for a touchdown.

Prescott 00:34:43  And then it and then but then he just stopped throwing his way. So so that's why he stopped getting interception because they just stop throwing his way.

Eddie 00:34:48  Oh no he got hurt.

Prescott 00:34:50  Well yeah you're right you're right. But they would have stopped throwing his way anyway.

Eddie 00:34:53  Probably probably. But one little one little burst of, fandom here. I don't know if you guys saw this or not, but they caught the other day after, you know, announcing that the Eagles and Cowboys are going to win and play on on the first game they they caught Troy Aikman and they're like, hey Troy.

Eddie 00:35:14  They tell us, you know what is this. Is this the year Troy Aikman looked at the camera and he said Dallas Super Bowl Dallas is going Super Bowl. And and what what what brought that to my mind was earlier when you were saying cowboy fans we don't say that. We really don't.

Prescott 00:35:32  Yeah. We don't we don't I don't know any Cowboys fans who say that. Yeah.

Eddie 00:35:35  You don't hear writers saying that. You don't hear Troy Aikman saying that. But this year, for some reason, Aikman said they're going to the Super Bowl this year. And I'm not going to I'm not going to push back on it.

Prescott 00:35:49  Hey, he knows he knows a little bit about football. Yeah. And and I don't, I don't remember I don't ever remember him saying that about us like recently. He might have said it way back in the day, like, you know, when when Roma was at the height of his career. But I don't remember him ever saying that about us. So it's not something he's saying like every other year.

Prescott 00:36:07  And he might.

Eddie 00:36:08  Not feel like. I feel like he was always because he was employed by ABC and ESPN, right. For Monday Night Football and all that.

Prescott 00:36:16  Oh yeah. Yeah, he was Fox first and now he is.

Eddie 00:36:19  But but he he always pushed back on the Cowboys.

Prescott 00:36:22  He would drag man. He would drag the Cowboys all the time like he would talk so bad about him.

Eddie 00:36:27  I hated when he was doing our games because.

Prescott 00:36:30  I'm like I'm like, why does Aikman hate us? Like I'm like, they.

Eddie 00:36:34  But now I remember that, right?

Prescott 00:36:36  But I remember that commercial the the the Aikman touchdown. Unbelievable. Aikman touchdown. Unbelievable. Hey I'll tell you man that was like.

Eddie 00:36:46  He's our boy.

Prescott 00:36:47  We say we will say In Jesus Christ we pray Amen. That's a great man. Hey but my boy. But I always thought I always thought that Buck liked the Cowboys more than Aikman. Like the Cowboys were like yeah, you know, I, I always said Romo has to make better.

Prescott 00:37:05  He has to make better choices out there. And I'm like, hey, can we just drag the cowboys over and over? I'm like, man, Aikman stopped shooting, man, we already did. Even in 2007, 2014 to 2016, he never gave us that day.

Eddie 00:37:20  Aikman didn't like Dez and his, Anthony.

Prescott 00:37:22  Yeah he.

Eddie 00:37:23  Did. He hated it. And, you know, I get it.

Prescott 00:37:26  But didn't make any sense considering he had Michael Irvin who was like ten times worse than this.

Eddie 00:37:30  And maybe that's why. Maybe that's why. Because, like.

Prescott 00:37:33  Like I'm tired of these.

Eddie 00:37:33  Guys. Like when people are talking about, like, LeBron and and like Kobe and stuff. And I grew up with Michael Jordan. Yeah, I, I did the same thing that he's doing when they're all giving him. I'm like, yeah, well he's not half as good as Mike right. So I think that's probably what he was doing was like, Dez isn't anything close to what the playmaker was probably.

Eddie 00:37:52  But the last thing I kind of wanted to talk about that I was thinking about was, that we saw a little message, the other day about Yeah. These vets and we're there and working out and whether they're they're all in this year on things. Yeah Micah has been working out on the side with Myles Garrett which yeah. Before was with. Yes.

Prescott 00:38:16  Hey I'm a big fan of that.

Eddie 00:38:18  I really liked tight end. You I really like the fact that tight ends got together and we're like, these are the elite tight ends. Let's learn from each other and do this. These defensive ends got to do the same thing that they're doing. I mean, Micah and him putting their skills together.

Prescott 00:38:36  Especially in.

Eddie 00:38:37  Football. Oh, I know exactly. And I think it's because they're, you know, Mike is in Dallas and I think but, he's a he's a tech boy, right?

Prescott 00:38:46  yeah. And the Browns aren't really like a, like a they aren't like a rival of us because like, like in basketball, they frown upon this because you actually have like, for instance, LeBron.

Prescott 00:38:57  And when LeBron and Carmelo used to train together. It's like y'all play against each other. You have to guard him. He has to guard you. Why are you giving him inside to your. You know your game. But in football, Parsons doesn't have to do anything against Garrett. They play against completely different people. So I have zero problem with this. And Garrett is top three at his position. I think Parsons is like a little bit, on top of him, but like, it fluctuates. You know, it's a three game stretch for Parsons. It's ridiculous. And it's a three game stretch where where Garrett is ridiculous. So it's not like one of them's really good ones. I'm terrible. And you're like, you're learning from somebody terrible. Like you learn from somebody that can make you better, learn new moves, new hand placement, new whatever. So it's like, I'm man, I'm all for it.

Eddie 00:39:44  100%, I agree. But that's.

Prescott 00:39:47  So.

Eddie 00:39:48  So that's that's the week in Cowboys.

Eddie 00:39:52  I mean obviously there's there's a few things here and there that happened and, but we'll, we'll next week we'll try to come up with a, you know, some more exciting things to talk about.

Prescott 00:40:03  Yeah. Yeah. Listen to us. I know y'all y'all might, like, hate some of our takes and boo us, but just remember, we're right. We know what we're talking about. So? So yeah, I can shove it.

Eddie 00:40:14  So, Yeah. And we had a little bit more interaction again in the, not not in.

Prescott 00:40:20  The Cowboys Reddit.

Eddie 00:40:21  In the Reddit Cowboys Reddit.

Prescott 00:40:23  Yeah, man. Good.

Eddie 00:40:24  Bring it, bring it. I want to see more interaction. I want to see more, you know. I'd rather I'd rather, you know, Prescott be on the other side, because I'm tired of looking at him on this side with his. Hey, is his attitude. Reach out and.

Prescott 00:40:38  Yeah, I want to come talk. Come, come, come talk on the show.

Prescott 00:40:42  Well, it's like Froggy.

Eddie 00:40:43  You know what? I really would like to see some people come on and and guess and and what they what they're thinking too. So yeah, in the future.

Prescott 00:40:50  They want to try and get Michael a Dak on the show man I'm gonna call I'm like Dak is it's me I'm your cousin. It's me Prescott I'm your here because even though that's my first name and that's your last name, we're related somehow. And I live real close to him. He's from. He's from Louisiana. I'm from Shreveport. Man.

Eddie 00:41:07  This guy's going to get some guy named Mike, and he's going to be like, Mike,

Prescott 00:41:12  Whatever.

Eddie 00:41:13  All right. It was.

Prescott 00:41:14  Good. That'll be the end of our show. So. So say goodbye to the people, Eddie. Let them know.

Eddie 00:41:20  You know how it is. Take your, don't take your, your loved ones for granted. Make sure you let them know. Don't go to bed angry and, Yeah. Cooper, cam and, Berkeley.

Eddie 00:41:31  You know, your dad loves you.

Prescott 00:41:33  Hey, man. Yeah. Y'all be good, y'all. Hydrate. Cooper. Flag to the Mavericks. And,

Eddie 00:41:39  yeah, we'll talk about that.

Prescott 00:41:41  We'll talk about that. But anyway.

Eddie 00:41:43  Or is there they're going to trade that to for Janis.

Prescott 00:41:46  Man that's what I would trade for Janis. Anyway, so y'all be good. And.
