Here we go, here we go. 50 Formation Podcast. I'm Prescott What's up, ladies and gentlemen? Welcome to another week in I'm mad at Schottenheimer. Shoddy, even though he was my boy until this week. He trying to get rid of my precious. Here we go. Yeah, he got rid of it. That's enough. I ever see him in the streets. That's how I open up every show, man. Like that was besides besides probably Having my kids, that was my greatest accomplishment ever, was when I started noticing. See, for y'all to don't, y'all not gonna believe me, but back in the day, before Here We Go became a thing, I noticed that Prescott doing that. And I thought it was hilarious, because I used to make a joke and said, hey, I'm gonna start saying Here We Go in random situations. When I'm about to get some ice cream, here we go. And I, and I made that joke way back then when he first started it. And the people in the discord didn't believe me. I had to pull up receipts in the discord that I discovered him saying, here we go. And that's my contribution to the world. I didn't kiss that girl. I swear. Believe me. You gotta believe me. You gotta believe me. And so ever since then, I was so happy. And so he was saying, here we go. I started off, here we go. Now they're about to get rid of Uh, you know, I liked the fact that it was like telling everybody, okay, we're getting into it. You ready? Everybody get ready. Calm down. Focus. Now everybody listen, listen to what I'm going to say. But I mean, I can understand the, you know, it did give the defense a little bit of a rhythm. Like they knew when it went, so it might've been I saw a tweet about this, about how people use stats in the wrong way. So somebody brought up a tweet. So he started this at the very tail end of 2023. And then of course, I'm sorry, 2022 and 2023 and in 2024, he did it for two years. So they pulled up a stat that showed his, uh, like his sacks. per whatever, and 2021 and 2022 were like four point something. And then it went up to like five and. Like high five numbers for 23 and 24. And it was like, that was coincidentally, that's when he started, here we go. And I'm like, but That coincidentally, that's when Tyron went to the jets or when he got hurt and then we drafted Yeah, that's a perfect example of using stats to bolster your argument. We didn't have anything to do in there I just thought that was interesting to but uh, that's just her move the goalposts. That's all they wanted So let's see what other news like I saw alert They like somebody on the team Leaked something to the press to get Trevon digs to come to offseason workouts because they said he could forfeit 500k from his base salary But not participating in the offseason program only a team member only a team, but I'm not understand that say that again because It doesn't make sense to You're saying that he's able to Give No, no, no. If he doesn't go to OTA, they can fine him, like he has a stipulation in his contract, you'll get fined 500K if you don't show up to the off-season program. Not everyone gets those, like, it's only, you can only get fined. No, no, it's not OTAs, it's the mandatory minicans. It's But some players like people who feel this guy isn't like a workout warrior. He takes stuff off. They can put in your contract if you If you come to this percentage of off season programming, even if it's like weightlifting or just the, the, the, the, or, you know, like the, like the non mandatory stuff, they can still find you for a percentage of you not coming to all of them, 500 K and that gets put in your contract. And that's what he has in his. So if he doesn't come to like a certain amount, they'll find a 500 K. Oh, he'll forfeit 500. I guess he gets a bonus. They can't really find you, but they can give you a bonus. If you come to a certain percentage, let me put it that way. So if you don't come, you don't, you don't get the extra money. So it's like, he's not losing anything. He just won't I believe it's a contract. Yeah, but there's some people you don't have to put that in. Like if you are Romo, Romo is going to be there. If you're a Dak Prescott, Dak Prescott is going to be there. You don't even have to put that in there, but it's one of those, you I think they just, I think it's a spotlight because of the rehab that he's, it's not like that he's just a vet and he's missing, you know, OTAs. I mean, that's what happens. Vets miss OTAs. And Jerry had that quote where he was kind of disappointed in his off I think that was Jerry's jab at a little bit of we're going to draft a cornerback So this is why this is why we're doing it. I don't really like he was really upset about it He probably would have voiced out a long time before Two days before the draft like that thing so the whole That was the precursor to our draft. This is why I'm But I never care when players, like whenever they had the thing that they missed workouts, I never, cause, uh, I don't know if you remember, but, um, Mickey Spagnuolo will say it all the time. Um, it was one player back in the day. This is one player back in the day. He would say like, uh, yeah, that they asked him why he didn't come to voluntary workouts. And he was like, uh, what do voluntary mean? So he just plays ask them, like, do I have to be there? But you said, Oh, what? Um, we just got We only just got a sleeper. Um, that the, you Actually they're tied in, actually put the doors Achilles today. That's That's what they've been trying to get him for the past, like I know, but they really stepped it up today because part of them just You're right. I saw that earlier today where they say they reinitiated talks. Now they want them real bad. Now the dolphins can get even more because So there wasn't a lot of NFL news this week. There was some here and there. We got a number change for Pickens, your boy. Three, number three. Who was that, Cooks? Yeah. I didn't even think about him using that number. I don't know why. But I mean, that just means that 13's up for grabs again. I mean, I don't know about you, but 13's a pretty badass number. It Um, and then, I mean, what's the other things? There's a little bit of Aaron Rogers news here and there. Like he is, he isn't coming. He's showing, he's not showing nobody again. I'll be all right. But it was one weird story. I like, I mean, I thought about, and it, it, it makes you think about how football players are people, you know, but, uh, the center for the, for the lions right now. He just announced that he's retiring. And so I'm like, like as a team, how does it make you feel when, you know, you went through all off season, you went through workouts, cause they've had some workouts, whether it be official or whatever, but I had some where he probably was there. They had some, he wasn't, he wasn't for anything. Okay. So he wasn't for anything. And then they had the draft, they had all that. And then I was once, and then all the good players in free agency are gone. Then he drops the bomb. Hey, I'm retiring. He didn't say why like it could have been something that happened last week that made him change his mind, you know And it's his prerogative but it's like man that just sucks as a team like now you gotta Try to make and and it wasn't like he was like an old player to end his career. He's a top his game. He's an all-pro but I So we know why like the the talking point on that I think what you're what you're saying is like I Well, what do you owe your teammates and your team? Exactly. Right. Like, like if you think about it right now, as you, you being employed with your employer, you don't own your employer shit, but we do like, because we're loyal and we are, we're human, we're real people. We have relationships with people. So we feel like it's like we owe the people that we work with, the, the, that are on the front line with us. A little bit of time to understand, Hey, I'm going to be going somewhere. I'm not going to be here. You know, something like that. Right. Plus you, you mean we, we just, uh, we grew up. being taught, you pay your bills, you, you let your employer know when you're going to leave. I mean, that, that was just a little, you know, rules that we were given to grow up. And, um, in, in this particular situation, I think it hurts because the fans, um, you know, they, they finally felt like they had kind of a group of people that But, but, but I mean, I mean, how can you get mad at somebody that is, I mean, I understand what you're saying, but I'm just playing devil's advocate. Like this is this man's livelihood. You don't know what he's going through. You don't know if he's going through a divorce. You don't know if his wife or him cheated on the other, either one of them. You don't know if his kids are having trouble in school. You don't know if he's just tired of living where he's living. Or it could be a number of things. Yeah. Right. But, but it just hurts fans. Like the fans are like, Oh, I can't believe you did that to me. You're doing this to us. No, this is my life. And I, I, you're a fan of what I do. And sometimes I'm going to, you know, Stepnowski was a good example. He left early too. He retired as a cowboy as our center early too. And he had lots of years left on him. He was one of the best centers in the league, but he had a different passion for, um, like Eastern medicine instead of Western medicine. Like he, he wanted to get into something else. And so he retired early and we were, I'm sure there was a bunch of people back then that were just like, I can't believe you're leaving us like this without a center. And especially we just won two super bowls. I can't believe you're leaving us like this. And it's just like, I have a life, man. I The best recent example of that is, uh, Andrew Luck, who just up top his game, just decided, Hey, I'm out like Robert Smith. Remember Robert Smith? Oh yeah. Yeah. The running back. Yeah. From Vikings. But some people just don't understand the idea that, and this might not even be the reason, but like, like you said, it could be a lot of family stuff, personal stuff. But one of the reasons is some people just. Don't like playing football that much like yeah, maybe he's just good of it But it's like like like for instance, um, I always use charles barkley as an example charles barkley He played basketball. He liked what basketball gave him what he really didn't like. Um, once he retired He never picked up a basketball again in his life Like Like he, he didn't really like, like retire as a mail carrier and they just love mail. But, but, but no, but I know what you're talking about. Well, you know, some people just, you know, they might leave their passion might leave, but it could be, you know, you're tired of getting them being hurt all the time. I mean, you're going through car accidents every fucking week. Yeah. So, but being away from your family and traveling and you know, it, we all look at it like, Oh my God, I can't believe that you're walking away I mean, they had to drag me off the field, whatever. But I mean, some people are different, but I just thought that was the interesting story. Good talking point. But a special thing for you today, since this was Eddie's idea, it was all Oh, well, the other day I was kind of talking to, to the discord and I was talking to press press about, you know, what, what are we going to do about this? Uh, tush push, right? It was right around that time when they said, no, we're not going to ban it. And everybody's like, Oh my God. And I'm like, everybody's like, well, stop crying about it and stop it. So, I mean, what do you do? We've, we've tried everything. I'm sure they're not just saying, okay, just line up and try to stop this. I'm sure that they have. A lot of strategies and I'm sure people have come in and they're bringing people from old school, you know, three yards What do we do? What do we do? I mean, anybody has Ja Rule? Where's Ja? But so what, what I was thinking was like, you know, why don't we just use our resources? Why don't we use the tools that we have available? Why don't we not ask AI to help us with this problem? When you're at work right now, if, if your boss is like Prescott, I need you to sell. At least 47 of these in the next two weeks. I mean, right now, I mean, back in the day, we'd be like, Oh my God, do I need to call people? What do I need? Now you can just get on AI and be like, Hey, I need a strategy to sell 47 of these widgets in two weeks. Tell me what can I Instructions were unclear. So I tried to DM Allen Iverson. He never answered me back. So we had to go with the But, but you know, I mean, this is something that I think is. is very valid in this day and age, right? I use it all the time. If I sit down and I look at my, my, you know, I have three teenagers, I look at my daughter's homework or something and I'm like, hey, I'm trying to help her study. I'm like, this is what you need to do. And she's like, are you kidding me? She's like, there's like 47 steps that you don't need to do. All you need to do is this. And I'm like, oh my God, I can't believe you did what I've been doing this wrong this, this long, but. Know what I hate about that? Exactly what you just said when I was in school. So let me see, I graduated in 1998. So I was in high school from 94 to 98. When I was back in high school, even middle school, my teachers would tell me, you need to learn how to do these multiplications longhand, because you won't have a calculator everywhere you go. That was before phones. That was back when pages were a thing. They're like, you won't have a calculator everywhere you go, so you need to learn how to do this. Well, now, Ms. Johnson, you see where I'm at? I'm here with 12GPT, the So take the anyway i'm on my cell box you can it is true it is true i mean we we came from where the last generation that didn't have all the. You know that actually had to do the research do we do? Yeah, I understand our pain man Anyway, but so so I was thinking, you know, let's let's use a modern tool of Technology to try and fix a problem that we're having the NFL is having a problem with this book play I think it's I think the percentage of it being stopped is like a 4% or something like that. It's ridiculous. So, uh, all we did was, um, you know, I, I jumped onto my, uh, chat, GBT account and threw on a track, uh, the, uh, um, prompt, uh, what did I, uh, at first I didn't, I didn't do a Dallas. I didn't want to do Dallas Cowboys. What I wanted to do was, uh, I wanted to do the NFL like, uh, chat, GPT create. You know a lineup that it would be ideal to stop the Stop the the tush push. I was just trying to figure out, you know, what would be the The ideal like who would you want to have lined up like a d-tackle here a linebacker here? That's what I thought it was gonna do but what chat GPT actually did was it took the whole the roster of the NFL and It plugged in 11 guys for me And so watch this, this is really cool. And, and tonight we're going to actually do the Dallas Cowboys. I So we're going to actually do, uh, have chat GBT actually use the Dallas what the, uh, best 11 players in NFL did, like just pick the best 11 players. They thought to Interesting. Exactly what I'm going to do. So let's do it. So there's no reason why we shouldn't be using this. Right. I mean, I don't, uh, there's. It's just, it's just, it just makes sense. Right? So let's go to a chat GBT. If you guys don't have an account, it's free sign up for it. It's simple. So the, the prompt that I use was, uh, taking the 2025 NFL roster. Create a lineup. No, no, no. Let's say create a defense. So lineup that can stop the push, push simple, right? Let's see what it does. And, uh, I was floored by, by the results here. So check this out. So right off the bat, it starts telling us a little bit about what the push play or what the touch push is. It's a sneaky quarterback push basically. Right. And so what it did was it took the, it's saying that the best defensive formation right now would be the goal line bare front, which is a hybrid five, three, three. Uh, if you don't know what that is, that's five defensive linemen, three linebackers, three defensive backs. Yep. The basically stack the middle plug all interior gaps obviously I mean obviously we know we want to get big guys in there use fat and plug up Right But it's not really that, I mean, you can't just plug up holes when you have 500 pounds pushing forward and they're just need to get a foot and they're just going to move you. So, well, this is the, this is the actual lineup that chat GBT or AI created for us using the whole NFL. So here's the defensive line. Obviously, we got a big big big boy Jordan Davis. Oh So yeah, Dexter Lawrence from the Giants. You know, did I I said 2004? Yeah, we got Vita veil. Obviously. Yeah, I would have said he would have been my number one But I think these are the three defensive tackles. So they're right, they're right in the middle. And then we have a defensive end on the strong side, probably both strong side defensive end Simmons and Chris Jones. I don't know too much about Jeffrey Simmons, uh, coming off the edge there. Uh, I mean, we know, uh, we know our guy tank last year in the year before the last 10 years has been our, our crash and, and it has been really Not the same thing about Jeffrey Simmons, but I think I would have put miles Garrett at that spot. Cause he's strong. He's That's the thing about this is, is that. Do you want a pass rusher? You want somebody that can get inside? Cause that's what Garrett's good at, right? Do you think it's really, I don't know. That's why I'm just, we're having this discussion going and now, and I'll explain why you can keep going. I got you. I got you. Linebackers. We got Fred Warner from the Niners, Roque and Smith from the Ravens and Bobby Wagner from the commanders. All three there. They're all three pretty long on the tooth, but they're, They're run-stopping defensive linebackers. These aren't guys that are out there covering passes. These guys aren't third down line. These guys are going to stop the run. And then defensive backs, you obviously have to have some, some good tacklers out there. Somebody that has a nose for the ball. Duggar from the Patriots. I mean, he's, I don't know if you would say he's a safety, even though he lines up as safety is more of a linebacker, you know, right. Uh, Durwin James, same thing. He's, he's more of a linebacker. He's not really a safety he's. And then, um, and then, uh, uh, cornerbacks, um, we have one corner. And it looks like they thought that soft Gardner would do good. I think He put sauce in there because he does like to kind of mix it up and he will make a tackle But if he had to be out on an island and they faked it He he'd have the speed to be able to keep up with that guy by himself, right? So, I mean, I thought that was pretty cool that it would, that it was actually telling, it was giving me an actual lineup of guys from the NFL. And then it kind of breaks down why each one of them are. So this might even tell us why. No, it didn't. It doesn't really say anything about the DMs. But I mean, obviously it's saying that you have to have two big guys, two three guys in the middle that are plugging up at the middle, right? You're diving right at the feet. That's what they're doing. They're, they're dying. They're dying on the battlefield right They literally just get like, they're not going to make the tackle, but they're giving themselves up so you can, so the people behind Yep, absolutely. And I mean, it's the same thing with the linebackers and safeties. Everybody's playing really near the line. The strategies of jumping over everybody to get to him. It just doesn't work, right? I mean, that's the whole point of my coach telling me from the very beginning. Don't leave your feet to make a tackle. Stop leaving your feet because that's what a lot of people do. They either drop down to their knees or they dive or you leave your feet. But if you leave your feet, your momentum is all that you have. So if somebody can stop your momentum that you don't have any more drive. And that's what the touch puts is all about is just pushing you forward the momentum of somebody coming from behind you. So you can't leave your feet. So, I mean, that's one thing that, that we have to make sure. So I thought that was kind of cool that, that was, that we were able to kind of take a look at what chat GBT or AI thought would be the best fit for the NFL, but let's take this a Let's go let's let's go and if you if you want to talk about like why my miles garrett was Well, well, let me start off with the tush push how I feel about the tush push me I don't like it as a play only because it too much favors the offense like for example They never call it how like when they were really successful when they had oh boy the Kelsey Center when I had him he was really good at Getting that split-second jump because he knew when he was gonna hike the ball It was all up to him when he hiked the ball And so he always had a split second jump to start the leverage push. Like if they got the push at the same time, it wouldn't be as successful, but he got that jump on it. Then on top of that, let's say you do stop him, but then of course, He's not going backwards. So they set up the play go if you push him two three more yards They give him that two three yards, but on the defensive side if you stop him and you push him two three yards backwards They bring it right back to the same spot. So he still only has inches to go. So it's like there's no benefit The defense stopping them, but it's a lot of benefit if they push the offense they get all the yards You can stop them at the war at the five-yard line, but they push them into the end zones a touchdown But defense aside you stop them at the five-yard line and push them to the ten. It's coming back to the five-yard line So it's like it's too much of a disadvantage and that's why I didn't like it not anything to do even though I hate the Eagles, but if the Tennessee Titans perfected this play I still probably wouldn't like it as much Only because of that type of stuff. It's just too it's too much. It's too easy for the offense to succeed on this play I think it's a defense Like what piggybacking off of those words what you just said? I think the verbiage needs to be like, you know, if even if the offense or the defense has a an upper hand where it's the other side can't stop something, it needs to be taken out of the game. I don't care what it is. If the defense found a defense that pulled somebody out and just allowed a hole every single time for somebody to rush in and hit the quarterback, that would be great that somebody found a strategy like that, but eventually they'd have to take that out of the game because it's ruining I've seen it several times where they would go and try and do it and he gets stopped like a second. But then the running back would just run up and ram him. And of course, that's gonna push him into there. If you already have two big guys. Yeah. And, and that guy pushed him. So if they either, if they did two things where Well, like if I if I stopped you and pushed you back and and they gave me those two three yards for you to lose That would be better And if you wouldn't allow to running back or two because he always has two people behind him Pushing him that that would be our right and that they'll take so if it was just a regular quarterback sneak I'm I'm all for that like I think that's what I think that's why they tried to change the verbiage to we're not trying to ban the or the tush push we're trying, what we're doing is we're going back to, you're not nobody on the field that's able to push or pull, uh, somebody on their team for an advantage at all. Right. So, I mean, we, we saw last year, we saw last year in our game where, um, I thought it was Deuce, uh, scored where he got pulled into the touchdown by, by one of our alignment. So I mean it happens Let's see. Here's the here's the next I just changed the verbiage to instead of taking a 2025 NFL roster I put Dallas Cowboy roster and create a lineup that can successfully stop the tush push So, let's see what it is that the chat GPT didn't think we had anybody that can stop the tush push So after GPT, they didn't pull anybody from Nope, not a single one Don't here we go. But but to be fair I wouldn't choose anybody from our team to stop the tush push when I have the whole NFL so I'm not bad at So it's chat GPT just threw out what we should be doing So if we're let's look at the top here to effectively stop the counter blah blah cowboys can leverage their 25 roster strength and defensive line and linebacker positions. So here is the formation we got Osa out of three tech and we got mozzie at the one tech and So we're we're going with a four three So So we got Now now obviously when pads come on I have a feeling that this will change a little bit. I have a feeling that Some I'm bringing when we see this is definitely coming in on this play for either Fowler or Turner in my eyes Ross Rogers But you think Rogers is gonna come in above our rookie from UCLA and the real run stopper Toya It'll be those four. I'll do Osa Matsi Toya and Rogers as the front four. That's why I think it's gonna change a little bit. Well, so we got Osa we got Mozzie and We got Fowler and they're saying because he brings a different kind of edge setting ability. So he does set the edge Good I don't need the edge. They don't go on the edge Yeah, Peyton Yeah, did you see I didn't I don't see my own clock on there So Peyton Turner was a free agent that we got from the Saints, yep Huge big boy. Yeah, he's fast, but he's a lot of work. So I don't know why Chad GBT threw him on here and then linebackers Sanborn I like that. I think Jack Sanborn is gonna be a real big addition Leofo He's fast he gets a he just has that nose to the ball if you notice it he does sharing the year He actually did well when Overshawn went down. He did Very good. And then I'm at the ball Clark. He was kind of he is I don't know I It's physical side if we don't get if we don't let let The I don't know why we keep the Mon Clark, you know, but Today Patrick no see did some observations from OTAs and he actually made it Yeah, well, we'll see was good. Like I Hey done and then we got Wanya Thomas is a strong safety. Oh, he's gonna curry gonna sing him sing him to stop I'm gonna I wonder I wonder if chat GPT understands that we still have Donovan Wilson Yeah, remember we still Donovan Yeah, we have all the linebackers. We have Micah Micah. We get to have like he left Micah Micah let Donovan Okay, and then yeah, and this is the Rutherd's. I'm not gonna take over the world yet We have we have a little bit to go So it just kind of gives us a little bit of strategic considerations. As to how, how you want to line up and how you want to execute this actual play to be able to stop the So I was more in line with the NFL roster they pick, but it's too many on this Cowboys roster. I'm like, yeah, So I'm thinking that, uh, this, I mean, honestly though, It hasn't had a chance to see what the other players can do also, They haven't gotten any pads on none of our defensive linemen. I mean, it picked it. This was a, this was a disappointing act. But so, so you guys out there that, that utilize AI a little bit more and differently than I do. Do me a favor. Um, give me some ideas as to what what I should be doing or what we should be doing it to change this I'll stop the stop the tush push best lineup I say that I actually believe so they said the five three three on the first one. I actually believe a six two is better Six six linemen where three of them are literally hip to hip over the center three of them, so I would have Toya moxie and Justin Rogers hip-to-hip right on the center. That's how I would do it. And then I would have Two Another three Defensive linemen there and then two linebackers who in case they decide oh, we're stopped Let me bounce it to the outside can clean up and that would be Parsons for sure and that would be Sanborn for sure me personally That's how I would do it. I still would have Osa in there and Still would have Kneeling in there but the three definitely would be Toya Justin Rodgers and Moxie as the three hip to hip right there over the center and then it sounds like three of them it sound like it'll just be like a Like a field goal block team, like a seven, three, one, right? Like you have seven guys up front, but except three linebackers in the, in the, in But you still have somebody lined up and I just don't touch them. Yeah. They can just jump, jump, but. But yeah, no, that's that's but again realistically When the when that play is set up even though they're even though you do call for a 5-3-3 Though the way that they're lining up is going to look more like what you're talking about Yeah, because they're lining up in different positions and spots well, so like you're I don't think that you line up in a gap so much. You line up, head up, man on, uh, until you get to the outer shades. So like it, it gets really deep, bro. When you're, when you're talking about where linemen line up, cause uh, what they'll do is they'll talk about the shade. Like, so like you're either on this guy's. Inside shade outside shade your three-quarters shade you're inside their foot you're inside this step. It's it's crazy And if you're not lined up right then you're right away here. You're Yeah, that's why you got to have the quality linebackers and still a couple DBs because After a while, they're gonna start like, man, let's do the, I remember when they did it and they would like one of the two guys behind him, they ran this play before, but one of the two guys behind him, he took it, but he handed it to the guy who went around in the suite. And that's why you need quality linebackers who, if they decide And they could take it. They've, they've looked at different techniques and different strategies on how to stop it. Like, I think the chiefs had their, their nose tackle. He was lined up almost like sideways. Like Okay, if it was even if it was the Cowboys play, I Trust me. I just will drag the Eagles every chance I get so I can I can be honest and say this is not because it's the Eagles if it was anybody else I probably would still hate this place. Hmm. We did definitely that's So tell us what you think, um, come up with different ideas as to how, how the teams, how, how the Cowboys can utilize AI and, and, you know, the new, um, tools and resources that we have out there. How can we use, utilize them? To make this team better more competitive easier Practices easier to learn plays things of that nature. We come up with some ideas. Tell us in the chat Let us know what what what you guys think because it They they have all the geniuses there in the cowboy subreddit. They'll You hear that you hear that YouTube and tick-tock and This is a smart like it's the same people the same people I Think trying to turn our seven fans against me I Like the interaction in I really like the interaction and read I had, I worked for a company that, um, was trying to, um, increase their marketing and their, like their, their overall views of people seeing the company. Like Reddit's really come about. It is, man. That's where I go for all my information. I'm going on a trip to Greece and almost all the information I've gotten, quality information has come from Reddit and YouTube videos. So it's gold mine. That's crazy line Solomon Thomas. Yeah, I mean you didn't even put the Street Shark in there, bro All he's gotta do is flex on them Computers are not gonna take over the world anytime soon.
